Good stuff bro! Is the 303 the protectant or the spray wax. Thanks
Where you get your cart?
Still waiting for another car wash video, it's so satisfying to watch
Meguiars hyper wash,Marek's custom car detailing,Frank
s2000 in the back looking fire, appreciate the soap vid
How much hyper wash you used?
way way too much lol its recommended dilution is 400:1 and for a 32oz foam cannon bottle that would be about a tenth of an ounce... there had to be about 5+oz of hyper wash in that thing.
More s2000 detail videos please. 🤠
Will do!
Where did you get that cart?? Thats a back saver!!
My friend made it for me from scratch. I drew up the design and he cut and welded it. I needed a cart of this exact size to fit in my narrow garage and fit underneath my shelf system so the only way was to custom make it. This car is version 2. Version 1 was just a standard cart I had and I cut off the top front rail so I could easily get the buckets in and out but it was too big for my garage so I made this one.
Is that an S2000 in the garage?
Yup, thats my 2007 s2k. I have owned it since new. Check out s2kologist.org to see some photos of it.
@@robsgarage-detailingvideos5621, Well I'm jealous lol. That's awesome bro. One of the best cars ever made. Miss that high reving NA feel. Looking at RSX's and 8th Gen Si's right now. I love my FK8 but miss that sound and feel. Can't afford an S2K or a DC2 so I'll have to take what I can get lol. Beautiful Car
It's been a minute! Welcome back
Thanks I have been wanting to film more videos I have just been busy. I have been upgrading my setup and garage so hopefully I will have a video on that soon.
You went down the body panel on the driver side door to the bottom and then went to the top of the adjacent panel without having rinsed the mitt?
Maybe, this is my daily and it has over 200k miles so I'm not super careful with it.
Great video, Rob! Super clean S2000 too!
Thanks! I need to make a new video with my s2k
Screw the two bucket method. Use one cloth per panel. You have to wash the cloth anyway. Safer and no more energy involved.
Yhea I think I need to switch to that method.
Why do you foam cannon twice? Thanks
This is my daily and it sits outside all the time. Where I live it always gets these little backed on yellow dots. I foam it once and let it sit for a while to help break down the yellow dots. If I dont do this it is hard to remove them.
Do you have a link to the pressure washer you're using? What degree tip are you using for your car? Have you ever measured the PSI?
Here is the pressure washer link amzn.to/3sq47Na I use a 40 degree nozzle. I have never measure the pressure but it not much I can put my hand in front of the tip about 10 inches out and it is not that bad.
subscribed simply for the s2000 content. Looking to pair one with my fk8
I will make some more s2k content, in the meantime check out my website s2kologist.org for some info on my car
Mine works better if I don’t shake it and I use hot water makes a lot more foam that way
If you dont shake it then all the soap get pulled up 1st and all the water is just left over and you dont have any foam after all the soap is gone. I have never tried hot water, I need to test that out, thanks.
@@robsgarage-detailingvideos5621 I know with chemical guys and armor all the ceramic hot water seem to work well, but with a few other brands, I noticed it didn’t make a difference
Give me one you have two?!!
This is my friends s2k. Mine is in the garage, you might be able to see it in the background.
Rob, your videos are incredible. I love watching your processes and would love to see more footage of this gorgeous S2000! Please keep making these videos!
Thanks! I will make some new s2k content.
Gotta go straight movements when washing a car brother!
I don think it matters, I dont have swill marks on my s2k
What was the dilution ratio you used for the foam cannon?
I dont measure I just dump some in
Nice
Thanks!
I see you do 2 bucket method it's cool works for you but wouldnt make more since just get several wash mits and skip that step just use one tose in empty bucket ho to next
Yhea I might switch to that method but the 2 bucket has been working for me. no swirls on my s2k.
Its a little bit Zombieish but I learned a lot. Great video.
Thanks! I messed up the voice over in this video. I tried to shoot, edit and upload this video in the same day and that caused me to miss the bad processing on the voice over.
Nice s2000 ! Very full detail video, I love it man!
Glad you enjoyed it
It looks almost brand as new from the lot! Good content🔥
Appreciate it!
Awesome set-up!
Thanks!
Wow! This guy is meticulous, indeed. A bit excessive on detergent consumption though. But I'd let him do my car anyday at any time, except in the sun on a hot day 😉
I put around 100ml of soap in the foam canon.
Cool video, nice car! I been looking for Meguiars Professional line in a store near me but not really able too. One soap I love is Adams Car Shampoo. Adams CS3 for a drying aide is my favorite too.
I tried the Adams car shampoo, its nice but kind of expensive.
What pressure washer do you use??
Sun Joe amzn.to/3nvq60p
I _genuinely_ admire your carefully worked out wash apparatus setup and how you use it. It's an approach that any engineer would appreciate!
Thanks! I'm always looking to improve my setup to be more efficient.
Got one with 316k miles of dirt you can do
That would be fun, that's a lot of miles.
Hey Rob. Awesome video. I came here to see your review about the Meguire's Hyper Wash. 2 questions. How did you like the product overall? Which pressure washer model are you using? I see that it's a Sunjoe but don't know which model. would you recommend it? Love your bucket cart. awesome idea. I like your rinse method, I do it as well. I think it actually takes out the remainding soap off much quicker than a pressure washer. But thats my opinion. Keep it up Rob!
The hyper wash is good but then again I have never used a soap that was not good. This is cheaper than some of the other main brands, that is the main reason I went with it. I use this pressure washer amzn.to/2W19RMS It is ok, I have a big leak coming from the outlet but it does not seam to effect it. I choose this one because i wanted to take it off the cart and put it on the shelf. I agree using the hose for the final rinse is much faster and better.
@@robsgarage-detailingvideos5621 yeah. While using the pressure washer has more force, using the garden hose utilizing more water volume within the rinse. Thats my opinion. Thanks for the info Rob.
Hi@Rob's Garage - Detailing Videos, would you like to review the new MJJC foam cannon pro? Thank you.
Great job, what was your soap to water ratio?
I don't measure. It was some where around 100-200ml.
Do you have a parts list for custom wash cart?
I just bought left over metal from the local metal shop. I then cut and weld the cart to my specs. I needed a custom size cart so it would fit under my rack in the garage and not stick out at all.
Love the video and the effort you put into it!
Thanks a ton!
How many ounces of Maguires gold class soap do you use..that's good foam..is the canon 32oz size? Thanx!
I don't really measure it, I just pour some in then add water. Its probably around 100ml.
Great video, for all asking for electronic components; all components are made to be waterproof, on the other hand they are no made to be soaking wet only rain from bottom while driving and ocassionally engine bay cleaning. Being said that just cover alternator battery and some plugs to be on the safe side of things. You can dry cleaning those components later on
Great point!
The quality of your content is awesome. Keep it up, Rob!
Thanks, appreciate it.
Why do you prefer to use garden hose for final rinse?
The garden hose does a better job rinsing off all the left over soap. It takes longer to do the final rinse with my pressure washer that dose not have a really high flow rate.
Also a lot safer for rinse imo
What gun and hose are you using?
Mosmatic gun and kobrajet hose for my pressure washing setup. I got it from obessed garage.
Great job! So no need to worry about spraying water all over everything? Is that safe for BMWs with a lot of electrical stuff?
I never had any problems. Just use some common sense. Don't get too close. Don't blast anything that you think you should not. Never wash a hot or warm engine. Cover any thing that looks sensitive. My s2000 has a open air filter so I cover that with a plastic bag.
Love your set up. That mobile cart looks awesome.
Thanks! Its much nicer to have the wash buckets up high so you dont have to bend over.
What is your favorite car soap?
Right now am using HONEYDEW SNOW FOAM. I want to buy Mr. Pink and see how that stacks up against honeydew.
Right now am using HONEYDEW SNOW FOAM. I want to try Mr. Pink .
Adam's Car Shampoo. But I just coated my car and running out of Adam's so going to switch to carpro reset and give that a try. But want Hyper Wash for other cars that may show up to get coated or detailed.
I like this soap. On my second gallon. Smells good, suds last a long time, 400:1 dilution ratio, and best of all is the lubrication. Good maintenance soap. Buy on sale and it's a great value.
For my first foam-up I use Meguiar’s Hyper Wash, let it rest, then rinse it off. My second foam-up is with Chemical Guy's Citrus Wash and Gloss which provides much better slickness than the first foam-up. (FYI: The gloss imparted from the second foam-up is more than acceptable when I'm in a hurry. When there's time, though, I follow-up with a couple of Turtle Wax spray-ons: Seal N Shine then Spray Wax.)
I like Mr pink from chemical guys. Smells like bubble gum.
Cool, I have not tried that out. This Meguiars did not really have a smell.
@@robsgarage-detailingvideos5621 I think walmart sells chemical guys now too
Nice job
Thanks!
meguiars car wash part starts at 7:49
Thanks, I probably should have started with that footage.
Thank you.
Can you really openly spray the engine bay with water like that esp the battery and not damage any electronics?
I have never had a problem, just don't get too close. The engine bay is not sealed up against the elements, water will get in when the ground is wet and you are driving.
You can also unplug the battery or cover it with a plastic bag or you want to be cautious.
Car looks great!
I think so too!
