Neurobiology 1.6: Parts of Nervous System
zhlédnutí 566Před rokem
We look at the different parts of the nervous system
Neurobiology 1.5: Types of cells in the brain
zhlédnutí 2,6KPřed rokem
We look at different types of cells present in the brain.
Neurobiology 1.4: Methods in Neuroscience
zhlédnutí 335Před rokem
We look at different techniques that are used to study the brain. We also compare their temporal resolution, spatial resolution, and invasiveness.
Neurobiology 1.8: Parts of Brain
zhlédnutí 1,3KPřed rokem
We look at different parts of the brain and the function of each region.
Neurobiology 1.9: Homunculus
zhlédnutí 1,1KPřed rokem
We discuss the mapping of different body parts to the somatosensory or the motor cortex. We also understand how this mapping was determined by Wilder Penfield.
Neurobiology 1.0: Course Introduction
zhlédnutí 107Před rokem
A brief overview of the "Introduction to Neurobiology" course series: czcams.com/play/PLs6UM3rH5tQwuhURavq5o4CGtAdGYnqZ4.html
Neurobiology 5.6: Vertebrate olfactory system
zhlédnutí 695Před 3 lety
In this video, we look at the organization of the olfactory system in vertebrates (humans and mice) and see how it compares to the insect olfactory system.
Neurobiology 5.5: Insect olfactory system
zhlédnutí 1,3KPřed 3 lety
In this video, we see how smells are represented in the brains of insects. We look at the responses of the projection neurons in the antennal lobe and Kenyon cells in the mushroom body.
Neurobiology 5.4: Olfaction (sense of smell)
zhlédnutí 569Před 3 lety
This video discusses olfaction (the sense of smell), which is one of the major chemical senses along with taste.
Neurobiology 5.3: Holistic visual perception
zhlédnutí 465Před 3 lety
In this video, we look at the idea of Gestalt in visual perception. Using some visual illusions, we see that our perception is affected by our prior expectations, and briefly look at the stages of the visual processing.
Neurobiology 5.2: Tuning Curves, Receptive Fields, Sensory threshold
zhlédnutí 1KPřed 3 lety
In this video, we look at various properties of the sensory neurons, such as their tuning curves, the receptive fields, sensory thresholds and dynamic ranges, and the sensory adaptation.
Neurobiology 5.1: Sensory Systems
zhlédnutí 651Před 3 lety
In this video, we get an introduction to the sensory systems, and look at the sensory receptors involved in different types of senses.
Neurobiology 4.5: Synaptic Integration
zhlédnutí 1,3KPřed 3 lety
In this video we discuss how multiple synaptic inputs on a neuron are combined
Neurobiology 4.4: Properties of chemical synapses
zhlédnutí 597Před 3 lety
This video discusses the various advantages of chemical synapses, various kinds of neurotransmitters, and the ionotropic and metabotropic post-synaptic receptors

Neurobiology 2.3: Capacitance in neurons
Crystal clear and in plane language Sir. Thank you.
wait what is capacitance and why does it not affect the length constant? great vid btw
Please check out my earlier videos to learn about capacitance. You will see that it affects the speed of charging/discharging the membrane, but it does not affect the steady state (i.e., final) values of the membrane potential.
@@guptan got it, tysm
Thank you for the water analogy. I’m just a hobbyist trying to understand bioelectricity.
Good luck with your learning!
Thank you so much!
Thank you
So good. Thanks!
Neat and simple. Thanks!
Omg woww so amazing of this guyyy keep it up buddyyy.... Apke jaise logon sehee yeh duniya h... 🤗🤗
Veryy amazing source.. 🤗🤗
Thank You
Thank you for the wonderful course
sir you are IIT-JEE 2000 AIR-1 Proud of u sir.... i didnt cracked the jee adv. xm.... but still i will try ti be like you!!
Your videos are extremely helpful. Thank you so much!
You're very welcome!
I finally understand this topic, thank you very much🤗
Brilliant!
Thank you so much... can I get a power point of this lecture?
woww, thank you so much! and that last point about myelination was just amazing, sir can you please also explain experiment to study that Cl- channel is responsible for IPSP, there was some concept of reversal potential there(in ganong)
Sir please bring that josh in your voice that yes This was the recent history of neurobiology and you know really a lot about neuroscience I tried many channel on the youtube for this subject but they are not such channel leaving you sir I am a grade 9 student and I really like neuroscience
sir you are explaining very nicely but you should bring that confident in your voice because in a way you speaking somewhere makes us bore
Thanks for your feedback. I think the later videos in this series have more confident voice, as I gradually got used to the recording process.
Thanks ...IT helped in basic understanding of formula and theory relationship ...
