It works for apps, but i transfer video files to the storage (usb ) the video files not playing

Can we literally move everything from the TV to the USB? Eg Netflix google play all preloaded apps? Can I delete the apps on tv once I’ve transferred to usb
@Browngeezer yes, almost everything can be moved to usb, but there will be some apps that won't transfer. No need to delete apps since they will be in usb. They will show up like normal icons but will be from usb, not internal. Hope this answers your question👍

@@LSJ-sb129 I have one more question. I’m planning on getting a 4K fire TV stick. Would this method still work? Having everything stored on usb and still being able to load from the 4kfirestick. Or is there a different method
@@Browngeezer I don't know since I've never used it. As long as the usb is connected, apps should work.

I did this however when im trying to move the app to the usb drive , it tells me that storage is insufficient even though the external drive has a lot of free space , :(

***If you are not getting Storage Options** Force stop apps or try restarting tv again.
I enabled the developer option and then went to the apps but it won't let me move them still. When I click on storage used it doesn't go anywhere. Any ideas?
Actually nevermind I didn't format my drive correctly the first time. After I did that it works fine now.

Thanks! this was helpful. How do I update an app that is on the usb drive? When I update it still says there is not enough storage on internal device and doesn't show the external as an option.
I did everything you said, but when I went to move it from internal to external, nothing happens when I click storage. Any advice?
Unplug TV for 1-2 mins, then format external device and see if that works. If it doesn't, then go to developer mode and turn on the "force apps onto external device" option. If all fails, factory reset TV, then try the steps from video again. It might take a few times to get it right. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the video bro. This shit had me bananas!! The only thing is that after doing the developer options I had to go back and format the USB drive so that the TV sees it as it's storage and then move the apps like you said. Just FYI if anyone else has this problem. Thanks again.

Any particular flash drive? I tried using an older Lexar I had and at the end it says the drive is corrupt, format to fix. 2 separate Lexars, same result.
I’m thinking you should factory reset your tv and try the process again. It took me some trial and error to get it to work properly. Any flash drive should work. I hope this helps.

Nice Vid, you said you couldn’t find any info, any android usb tv box video will provide more info. Don’t buy a stick bigger than 128G and my set has 2 usbs. Found that one is power only or is defective. The other works with usb. I’m going to try to put a usb hub on the tv to see if it will allow for expansion ie more accessories.
I keep coming back here for for different tvs. Very helpful. Thanks
