From JEOPARDY!'s Tournament of Champions, 1995. Alex Trebek's response to Ryan's answer is quaint... "the World Wide WHAT?"
I Stole the Brownie
zhlédnutí 2,5KPřed 17 lety
My nephew, Malcolm, tells of how he snatched his brother's brownie, then does his victory dance.
I said Jerry Ford! though my logic was the post-Watergate backlash in the midterms (but he became president a few months before the midterms).
Alex’s gaffe about the correct response after the lights came back on was cut when the episode aired on GSN…
Thank you ☺️
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS RECIPE LIFE SAVER
You are not really playing nine holes....you need 9 cards for that. The game has morphed.
I love your explanation of the value of the cards (exactly like my old group). I just wish that you could have stressed that this could be played with a much larger group. We always played with 8 to 9 players. This is a perfect game for people who like to chat and socialize while playing cards. Also, you didn't mention that getting any four corners should result in negative 20 points.
That's a good point about the number of players, thank you. I'm not sure what you mean about the "any four corners" rule, haven't heard of it.
@@DJMystaspot It's a bit hard to explain instead of demonstrate but I will try. Either the outside corners are all the same number or face card. Another way is the top and bottom card in the middle column is the same as the same top and bottom card in either of the outside columns. For example 3 6 3. Or. 4 4 9 3 5 3. 442
@@DJMystaspot sorry, I did the example last night when I was tired. I'll give it another go: 2 5 2 or Q Q 7 or 7AA 9 K 3 5 A K. 52 4 2 7 2 Q Q 8 8AA
Final Jeopardy round (from the deciding game of 1995 ToC) U.S. PRESIDENTS Clue: 1 of 3 U.S. presidents in the 20th c. who never had a House of Congress controlled by his party Correct response: (1 of) Gerald Ford, Richard Nixon, & George Bush
similar to golf
Thank grandma! ❤️
M'aam, that pie technique is on point. Thank you!
I remember learning how to play this with my elderly neighbor when I was about 10. I can still smell them parliament ciggerettes and coffee. 🤣
Seems complicated.
You have to watch the video several times. It takes an investment and a desire for self-improvement. Good luck.
RIP Alex Trebek.
I always wondered why he wagers $1,111 on a Daily Double or a palindromic number like 7,887. Any significance to those numbers?
Maybe he likes prime numbers!
@@anthonyguarino4242 maybe he wants the math harder to do
@@nintendonerdsvideos4727 That is right! Also, I thought it was funny.
So If you have two jokers vertically are they zero then? Or are they -10?
I think we play them as -10. Perhaps that's generous, we haven't analyzed it. I can see the upside and downside of playing it as zero. Of course, if it's zero, you'd never set yourself up for that, so it would only happen if you had one turned down at the end of play. Potentially exciting (or deflating).
Was this from the 1st Game of the Finals or the 2nd Game of the Finals?
Alex: (to David) Richard Nixon is correct as well; George Bush was the other president of the three.
This is from the last day of the 1995 Tournament of Champions on Jeopardy! with David Seigel, Ryan Holznagel, & Isaac Segal.
$ 100,000
Thanks for making this! I've been using Jiffy pie crust mixes and can't ever seem to get two pie crusts out of one. Think they expect you to buy two of them based on what I'm seeing in the video, thanks again! ^_^
And with the jiffy mix, the instructions call for 4 or 5 tblsp of water. I have never been able to work that mix with less than 6.
Life changing
Incredible. Thank you
uau. 👀🃏
6 hole
Excellent video. Thank you ~!!
For some reason I just realized Rob Worman reminded me of Ryan Holznagel. He kinda looks like him.
How do we use the joker in scoring?
We count Joker as minus five points (-5). The two best cards.
1:57 lol 😂
To listen you need to put captions
The geme real name why.no present google play stor
I know this game under he name of "Golf". And with Jokers value of -2 (not -5). Nice and fun game, good video :)
From 1:50 to 2:00 that part was cut and edited during the GSN rerun
Also 0:17-0:24 :( :( :( I had not seen those segments at all until 2008.

Thank you for clear explanation and example of a great card game--very appreciated!
