Thank you!! And I will keep that in mind! Hot glue was just easiest but I've already had the ironing board fall off the wall so I'll definitely be using that knowledge to fix it and for my next miniature projects! :)

There is no single definition of what bullet journalling is, so if you don't like my style then you don't have to watch my content and can leave your negativity elsewhere :)

I like how different the black journal is - it really tests me creatively and is the perfect backdrop for metallic colours, but after this year I think I'll return to a white-page journal. When it's just line art, I don't usually have to go over the lines except for very fine and light-coloured gel pens, but if I'm trying to colour in a larger area then it becomes more problematic. I found with my two previous setups, I really struggled with getting the colour to be opaque in larger sections, regardless of whether I used a paint marker or a gel pen. And I'm not surprised that cursive is better for the brain because it certainly takes more thinking for me to do it 😅

Thank you!! I've never heard of that brand of journal before. How are you finding using the Posca markers on it? Are you also having to do multiple layers to get them to be full coverage?

@@KyraYeske The Commit30 is more of a planner with some goal setting aspects, but each month starts with a black page. The Poscas work great on the pages and don't require multiple layers! Idk what kind of paper they use in the Commit30, but it is magic!

Oooo using gel pens is such a good idea! I'll have to see if I can find some so that I can do some thinner lines compared to the Posca markers

I'm definitely a little worried that the number of layers I'm going to have to do over time will end up making me dislike the journal in the end. I'm also finding it challenging to think of themes that will be complemented by the black paper without having to reuse the same bright colours to get the effect I'm looking for. I guess it's all part of the challenge of using completely new materials and will take some getting used to 😅 I will definitely provide my overall thoughts and pros/cons list when I finish the journal

Yesss I'm literally counting down the days lol! Another book that was similar in theme that I also absolutely loved is called Marrow, and I believe it's co-authored by the same person who wrote Butcher & Blackbird. I would recommend reading that one if you haven't already! And thank you so much!! 🥰
