Does this work well? I've just tried a regrit kit to the letter left to set for over week. Rock hard but came off roller on the 1st try on block paved almost flat drive.
Hi Brian, I did this mod 6 years ago. Time flies! I use the mover every time I move the caravan in or out of our gravel drive and it is still working great. In fact the gravel on the drive can be picked up on the tyres and scrape through the rollers and has not damaged them.
Couldn't give the rest of the instructions because of the ships siren and the bloody horns!
Hi where did you get the foil covered fibreglass insulation from?
Hi Lee,Google" theinsulationshop" It's cheaper than the webasto stuff but it is not flexible. For the bends i had to cut it in short lengths then wrap foil over the joins.
hi Duncan I have a powrtouch mover fitted. One side has become quite noisy in operation. A friend said it might be the bearings and said the rollers simply slide off when the three ten mill bolts are removed. I did this but the roller will not pull off. Any tips or is it a call to the caravan service man? Ben
Ben Moore hi Ben, the rollers are a slight interference fit and if they have been on for any length of time they will be difficult to remove but you will need to do that to access the bearings. A bit of heat and some WD 40 should do the trick and of course if the sealed bearings are shot anyway then you needn't worry about damaging them
