We went in April and there was a moderate amount of seaweed. But everyday there was a crew working hard to try and get rid of it.

Any tips or tricks you've found at the resort ? Any thing to just make the trip thay much better ?

Good afternoon! 😎 We went on vacation as a couple at Bahia Principe Grand Tulum from April 17 to April 27 2024 and it was one of our best trips ever. The service all around the resort is really 5 stars, the food was good, weather was perfect, very clean and well maintained premises. Bahia Principe Grand Tulum is a big resort so there is enough space for couples, families and party people. You will never feel crowded and no need to get up at 7 am to reserve a palapa! Any time of the day you can find one at a pool or beach since there are so many beach or pool options. For tips and tricks we really recommend Jorge from the food truck, Anabel from the main lobby and Pedro from the Gourmet à la carte for the 5 star + service! If we could have one big secret to share it is the following. We found that many days there was a lot of waves but we found our own little natural pool! This secret little natural pool is located near the path to go to the beach beside Adale Burger. It really added to our week and became our chilling spot. We will definitely be coming back! We can't confirm 100% since it's been a while but by memory it was either villa 14 or 15. Hope this helps! 😀

Honestly these rooms in those villas that we mentioned above are actually some of the older ones. We have been to this resort multiple times and it was our first time in those older villas and we find that they would need some touch ups. But besides that the rest of the resort is super nice and renovated since the fire a couple years back. We would also like to point out that we once went and had a standard garden view room in villa 2 and really liked it. The room was a little bigger and newer than those other villas i mentioned earlyer. Have a great trip 😎🍻🏝!

I thought it was all inclusive?

It was before the renos about a year ago but now it seems they have changed this. We would suggest confirming with a travel agent before booking.

Since Encarna Pinero took over, this resort and Llevantado have gone for a poop. She seems to have forgotten about us long haul repeaters. Either that or she simply does not care about client loyalty. Her Dad must be spinning in his grave.

Is that just in the United States? I'm from Canada and on air Transat they offer a breakfast plan a 2 meals a day plan and they offer an all inclusive plan.

Good question! When we went in April before it closed for renos it was an all inclusive. But as you indicated we checked lately online ourselves and its not to clear anymore. It talks about breakfast only and some packages say breakfast and diner. I think the safest bet would be to ask a travel agent to inquire!

No it is a local kitesurfing school giving lessons beside the resort. 😃

I would say it's about a 10-15 minutes minutes walk from the main resort beach.
