So the first words spoken by the clergy at a liturgy held on the second Sunday of Advent - that's ADVENT - were "...be it this Christmastide..." Christmastide? Are you kidding me? Christmastide doesn't happen for another twenty days AFTER this service! Did the Reverend Father not learn the basics of the liturgical year while he was in clergy school? What an incredibly stunning and mindless error! But if he's the rector, then it will be overlooked. Maybe he can persuade the choir to sing the Hallelujah Chorus on Good Friday?

Hello, that was a lovely service. I hope that you don't mind if I share this with our congregation at St Peter's, Dalry, Ayrshire. We would normally have a Taize service in Holy week and it is a service that is well attended by other church congregations in the village.
