A common struggle he noticed is that partners and directors are swamped with detailed review work, leaving them with little time for high-level advisory tasks.
He believes there's a solution many overlook - thoughtfully integrating skilled offshore reviewers and supervisors. Here's what he's learned:
1. Start small with basic tasks, then grow your offshore team organically.
2. Consider promoting internal team members to reviewer roles as they gain experience.
3. Clear review checklists are crucial for maintaining quality and consistency.
4. Onshore buy-in can be challenging - address team concerns openly.
Also, he's noticed that promoting from within often works better than hiring external reviewers right away. When you involve team members in training new hires, it gives them valuable management experience before stepping into a full reviewer role.
