Thanks! Glad you're enjoying them. A new one is scheduled for Sat. July 13th, 2024. :)
Tanks!😀
Wlcome!
Really amazing 🤩
Awww....Thank you! 🤗
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Always love to see you animating, Make animation of complex character plz
Thank you! I got more complex characters coming soon :)
Can you tell me a how you edited on davinci resolve
Let me think about that one. I just kind of fumble around in Davinci and watch a lot of tutorials to do what I need. I just know the basics.
Thanks
You're welcome.
the turtle one that was really cool.🙌🙌👌👌🔥🔥
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing! I'm going to start with the sack to practice animation. I hope to be more confident in my skills and have fun while practicing
Awesome! You can do it!
@@TonyGaddisToons Thank you!
Awesome, nice treat! I was wondering if you scanned your sketch book or re-created them.
Thanks. Hope it made sense in the video. I try and re-draw everything in opentoonz. It helps me get to know my character more. But I like working in my sketchbook to try and figure things out first. And of course, it changes, sometimes, when actually animating.
@@TonyGaddisToons I can see, how animation tents to "evolve" by getting to know the character. i.e. The Simpsons from the 80s and current episodes. Even though, the roughness of The Simpsons in the 80s gave them more character, more naughtiness.
Thank you, Tony!! You're an inspiration! Thank you again, and keep them coming.
You're welcome. And thank you for the kind words! More on the way and Happy Animating! 🙂
Have just begun using OpenToonz (Love It!) and your tutorials Tony are very helpful - thanks and keep up the great work!, Terry, Australia.
Awesome! Thank you Terry 🤗
❤❤❤Great tutorial 😍
Thank you! 🤗
good series
Thanks!
Can you please do a animation tutorial on how to do Storytime animation on opentoonz
Not sure what Storytime is exactly...do you mean like, storyboards or animatics perhaps?
@@TonyGaddisToons By story time animations I mean Telling stories but in animation format
Hello! I'm thinking about starting to learn animation (but know absolutely 0) and have been researching different programs. Since you are an pro animator I thougt I could ask you for advise? My question is: is opentoonz easy to draw in or do you use a separet program to draw? Can I download more brusches and use them in opentoonz? Your videos are banger keep em comming!
Sweet! Thank you for the kind words. Exciting you're wanting to get into animation! I've tried several programs and have found OpenToonz to be one of the best. It has its problems but I try and think of it just like drawing with paper and pencil, "Keep It Simple". I haven't looked for other brushes. I've found the ones it has to be great! I have more videos coming soon on how to start animating in OpenToonz. I hope you find them useful and would love your feedback on them. Also, would love to see what you end up animating :) -Happy Animating!
Indeed, It's The Coolest. It has personality.
You need to do more of krita animations
Yeah, sure...I still really like Krita. Anything specifically you were wanting to see?
Love your animations
Thank you!
Hey man, you are awsome 💫💫❤️❤️ wanna collaborate? I do some music 😺
You need more recognition
Awww...ty!
Its was an main 1 bundle a by .
A so so ❤ this pet😊😊
Thank you! 🤗
He is easily one of my top favorite characters in the game. I love him so much.
Nice! The first thing that came to my mind was Vivaldi's 4 Seasons.
Nice. I'm a huge fan of old school Looney Tunes and how they used classical music for everything. In this video I used, Josef Suk, Serenade, Op 6 Performed by "A Far Cry".
0:47 Your sense of humor is impeccable. I got a brand-new PC, so hopefully I will never encounter that error. Thanks for the laugh!
Thank you and congrats on the new PC!!
Wow Tnx😊🥰👍👍🤩
Nice and simple. Perfect. I look forward to seeing the rest of this series. Although tbh, I recommend most users download the nightly builds as within a few days, the main build is out of date, with bug fixes and new features added to the nightly build first, which won't be added to the main build for a year, so the nightly build is generally more stable and complete.
Thanks Darren! Good to know. I've always just downloaded whats on their website.
The nightly build that I use is the one on the website (below the main download).
I also like Opentoonz, it needs some improvements and also some visual changes
I agree.
Looking forward for the continuation of this series! I'm hoping from Newbie to "Tony Gaddis".
Awww thank you! Hopefully it doesn't disappoint. If I can do it, you can too!
What software is this?
3D Studio Max 2013
Thanks, great tutorial. What are KI TOOLS and where can I get KI TOOLS?
Thank you. KI Tools are our internal studio tools, written by our technical artist. Unfortunately they are not for public use.
awesome
Thanks!
He's the best 🤭
Yeah, he a pretty cool dude 🤗
Masterful.
Thank you. :)
Hey man love the work its really helping me understand the ui and how to really use the full tools of opentoonz. As an artist and animator since 2005 I had been using adobe and autodesk primarily but now I am a literal starving artist 😂 and the freeware these days is incredible. Thanks for the help learning this new ui!!
You're welcome! Thanks so much for the kind words. I really like OpenToonz. I try and keep it as simple as I can. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. I plan on making more OT vids this year, soon. All the best!
this was really helpful tysm
Do you have the diameter of the underside of the animation disc? The part which goes into the disc hole. I'm wondering how much larger the diameter of the hole has to be to for any animation disc to rotate well.
So, getting as close as I can...The desk hole diameter is 16.5 inches. The underside of my disk (the lip that sits and rotates around the hole) is 16 5/16 inches. The outer part of the disk is 17 inches. Here's a post on reddit and he recommends a 16.5 inch desk hole, as well, to work with any animation disk. When i made my own, the hole was uneven and the disk jittered and skipped when i rotate it and drove me crazy. So just make sure your cut in really, really, really precise. www.pinterest.com/pin/doityourself-animation-desk--236790892886500927/ Hope this helps. Good luck! -Tony
@@TonyGaddisToons Thanks very much
Thank you for showing your storyboard process.
You are a great animation artist.
Thank you!
Simply Amazing.
Thank you!
I noticed you gave up on Krita and mostly use Opentoonz. Opentoons is much easier to use, in my opinion, makes more sence.
Yeah, I still use Krita for everything else, just not animation. I really like the tratditional feel and layout of OpenToonz. Also, OpenToonz is way more powerful, for animation, in my opinion.
Your page for your Krita Brushes is down I noticed.
Yeah, I took them down. Didn't think anyone was downloading or using them. If you want I can share them with you, just let me know.
Can you make this kind of lip sync tutorial, how to approach this , please make one.
do you know can I put zoom in to 'ctrl++' because it sets it to 'ctrl+='
Yes, you can. You can basically change it to anything you want. I have mine set to zoom in "G" and zoom out "H". Just go to file > configure shortcuts > search for zoom > select "zoom In" > press "remove" > then press "alt + (+...on the num pad).
this was so helpful!
Well, looks like you basically did my job of giving people a closer look at a 12f animation disc for me. BTW, no disrespect to Chromacolour, but their portable desk sucks, mainly because the base of it is 2 inches thick, making it less comfortable to use with my short chair.
So cute... 😍
Thank you so much!
This was a lot of fun to follow along with. Thank you for breaking it down!
i love this tony
Thank you!
