I was at the Cap Center in Landover, Maryland on 9/3/88 when the Grateful Dead played the one and only Electric version of "Ripple" for a Wish Come True cancer patient. It was the most amazing feeling I have ever had with music. I thought the arena was going to lift right off the ground with all the emotions running through he crowd. I walked around the parking lot for three hours after that show saying "Did I really just see that?" to myself, over and over. I grew up listening to the Dead (been listening on purpose for like 20 years) and I was trying to find the earliest instance of the Headlight verse (9/16/66 Avalon Ballroom I think). I've never gotten the chance to listen to The Warlocks, so I've never heard this before. I am not disappointed at all and I love the unique vocal harmony that seems to be lost in the Dead era
