Everyone can buy it, but not everyone can make it.
Restoring Old Soviet Drill Press. 2M112?
In this video i restore old table drill press. This is 1979 USSR drill СНС18 but cant find that model on web, but its something close to 2М112 or 2Д112 or СНС12. Maybe its made from 2 different drills ,i dont know, but overall there was missing some parts and build quality was not great either. But anyway now restored its much better than new cheap china drill and better than my DIY drill press, because its much bigger, and got more power and rigid.

I made house shaped bed frame for my toddler with my weak carpentry skill. @@craftzars sad, linuxcnc have most popular used cnc machine software, hobby and pro level used only linuxcnc most. arduino/GRBL have small hobby users group only.

1x 6mm x 60m rope (around pipe is about 36cm so if you want make 1m scratch post you need 100cm/0,6cm= 166.7 x 36cm= ~6000cm = 60m of rope

How do i make it more stable? Ive done everything on the video and its not stable, its moving
Put it in corner like i did 😂 because its not stable on its own. First need bigger base, but if you made bigger base next weak point is base to pipe connection, it will not last with just a pair wood screws. You need cut round plywood plates what fits inside pipe and screw trough them to base depends how thick is your plywood you probably need many layers and then you can screw also from side trought pipe. So you have solid connection. But if that dont help you can try put long threaded rod in center or multiple and secure with nuts at base and pour cement inside pipe. If that dont help you can not 1post style tree but 2-3 post style so tree have more legs and its connects together but there will be some problems with fitting it together because i think there is no ready fitting to connect 3pipes together so you need precise cutting and gluing. And of that dont work than lastly you can just can take bracket and screw top plate to wall and its not going anywhere (only if you can drill in wall) i cant think anything else what you can do if nothing from this doesnt work
@@craftzars yup , we did put it in the corner now haha, we will just fix the moving pipe, we have to put some more screws so it doesnt move the pipe and the platforms, also thanks for helping, now it will be perfect for our cat,
We had a cat whose mission in life was 1. Empty every other cats bowl, 2. Trash every scratching post. Have gone through four, including the one we hot glued the rope back on.

It looks good but from my experience when wrapping a post with the rope, you need good tension on the rope and a glue below it (I use double-sided tape over the whole post) to keep it in place when the cat goes to scratch it. With just dabs of hot glue I can see it all falling apart. Cats can be strong.
Cant see in video because of edit, but there is glue on every round, so when cat tear one round so it dont collapse fully. Yeah double sided tape sound easy solution, but I don't think that such a rope will hold better than a glue gun
