this is a potentially a dangerous idea as heat can conduct through the tiles, given enough time and heat. You can find a solution here: www.pyroprotecto.com/product/deckprotect-octagon-fire-pit-insulation/
I don't think a chiminea which is raised on legs and a considerable distance away from the ground will have enough potential to radiate enough heat to create a high temperature on those tiles given the fact the majority of the heat generated from any fire will naturally ascend rather than descend.

Is there a follow up? I'm looking to mount a Nemesis similar to this and was curious because most pan and tilt aren't built for that kind of weight unless you spend big

@@modifyit Nerf Nemesis + Power wheels Wild thing + 3d printer + fpv gear= Mobile remote nerf machine gun turret. Getting that nerf weight mounted pan and tilt cheaply will be a challenge for my adolescent son and I.
Jason Cline mate the servos I used are rated up to 20kg and have metal gears £10 each on eBay. I’m currently coming up with a better solution for the mount to make it even smoother
