To capture the access token after a user is successfully authenticated by Azure AD, you can use the OAuth 2.0 authorization code flow. Here are the steps: Obtain the Authorization Code: This step launches a browser window and asks for user login. The authorization code is returned after the user successfully logs in. Use the Authorization Code to Acquire the Access Token: Once you have the authorization code, you can use it to acquire the access token. Here’s a sample of how you can request an authorization code: GET login.microsoftonline.com/{tenant}/oauth2/v2.0/authorize? client_id={client_id} &response_type=code &redirect_uri=http%3A%2F%2Flocalhost%2Fmyapp%2F &response_mode=query &scope=offline_access%20user.read%20mail.read Replace {tenant} and {client_id} with your registered application’s tenant and client ID. The redirect_uri should be replaced with your application’s redirect URI. The scope parameter specifies the required permissions. After the user authenticates and grants consent, the response contains the authorization code in the code parameter. You can then use this authorization code to request an access token by sending a POST request to the /token endpoint. Please note that you need to register your application with Azure AD and configure it to use OAuth. Remember to secure your access tokens and never expose them in client-side web applications because they can potentially grant access to your data . Let me try to create a video on this which may help to understand easily.

Can’t say until see the code how it is implemented. For Azure AD integration you need to call azure AD function in place of windows authentication. If you can share code snippets I can look and see what could be best way

At least azure configuration and reading tenant, organization details etc would be required. These value give identification to your application and say where to redirect and authenticate

If you are talking about the sample code used here then I have used and existing registered applications in azure and used that value here. In case I create a new application registration then application will ask for details while running first time.

@@learniologyactually it is web application based on web forms. Not .net core based application . The scaffolding for the ms identity is not available. Please help in this.

It happens mostly when you are using your Organization or School account, better to create your own (personal) azure account and use that. Organisation’s and school accounts are managed by admin and user don’t have privileges to create any application/tenants on organisation and school managed account.

you need to replace application and tenant ID in code. I have removed the ID due to security reason.
