I think if your goal for the song was to communicate the relationship between these two characters AND make a banger song to put on repeat, You've nailed. It. On. The. Head. The cleaness of the lyrics shows there is no malicious animosity or bad blood or barriers to get through, but you still get a little growly for show. Like how Sol and Ky might play fight for sport. Because they can actually finally understand and see each other eye to eye and communicate their thoughts to each other clearly. The lyrics reflect this. The metaphors being clear in communicating vulnerability and openess, "I'll know what you mean, so lay it on me", you show that there's no drama or room for miscommunication. I think you captured the spirit of their rivalry at this point perfectly in this song. Honestly, I think you showed a level of understanding of the themes of guilty gear by showing us what the songs would look like if the characters got past their fixations and learned to cope and move on from their unhealthy behaviors. This wasn't trying to be an imitation of a Daisuke song, but a truly original song for guilty gear, as you said. I really do think you show your skill here by applying your techniques and not imitating. Great work, keep it up!
