@@juunjuubei I forgot to mention they had passwords to get to the other levels. Some games had no save points. Just a straight on play like Star Fox. Back when Gamestop used to be called Babbage's. Just ready to play games out of the box.

lol, digging around in my old stuff? 😂 i'm still at some DKC tracks.. somehow can't let it go, but i'm not as fast as last year anymore.. i'm not much of a PC gamer but i happened to play diablo II back then. i just don't remember much of the game, so it's not meant to be a reference 😅 thanks for the compliment and having an ear at it despite my poor mixing skills 🙈

@juunjuubei A lot of your old stuff is quite good. I think it still sounds professional. Glad to hear you're doing more DKC, but I'm wondering if you'll ever do any original Retrowave composing?

i don't know.. somehow my content doesn't reach many people.. maybe the target audience just has plenty of better similar stuff to engage and share or whatever.. but comments like yours are always very motivating, thanks you so much!

I know that sometimes certain music can be very niche and until it catches on the crowd is small... The upside to this is that the few artists you can find are very passionate about it and are doing because they like the work over getting a paycheck... The downside is the arthritis that genuinely care about it are probably not getting the pay or attention that they probably deserve... Side note: keep up the good work but take care of yourself man... I would love to see more of what you can do but there's enough work here to tide me/ us over until you have the time to make more...

@@juunjuubei For what it's worth, I love both synthwave music and video game arrangements, but I wasn't actively looking for either when your main album video was just kind of dumped in my recommended videos. If you make anything else like this for a game soundtrack I like, I'll be listening. *I knew I was probably going to like this album just a few seconds in.* If CZcams is designed to skim comments, I bet I'll be seeing more synthwave stuff now. That's not a bad problem to have.

@@koopaking6148 yeah! and this here is a niche within a niche 😅 synthwave isn't quite mainstream and most of the people who like this and 80s nostalgia never happened to play the DKC series 🤷 only 4 people i personally know can understand why one would combine the DKC world with 80s retrofuturism aesthetics, and they still aren't very much into retrostuff. if you put 1000 hours into a project and the people surrounding you think you're nuts, it would be nice if there's at least some response from the internet. therefore those comments really matter 💪 but don't worry, if i'd only be after followers, i would have stopped long ago 😁 at the moment, i'm tinkering on the "vulture culture" 🙌

@@purplecowadoom haha! i never knew that there are so many synthwave arrangements/remixes from DKC series when i started this project, i thought that i'm the first one 🙈 until i started uploading and YT immediately spammed me with the others, which can really break your back.. so i needed to ignore them for a while, to not get influenced by them.. i thought about other OSTs to rearrange with 80s synths, but i struggle to imagine most of them.. thought about undertale for example, but i'd like to continue my orchestral rearrangements as well and i'm hoping to not disappoint too many people if not everything is synthwave 🙄 however, thanks for the support 💪

@@juunjuubei The Oil Drum Alley theme slaps and is also my favorite song in the game. I could listen to that music all day. It's like an old style edm track and it just is very good fitting with the fact that you are in a factory supposedly owned by K. Rool.

i love those, but aren't they retro enough? 😌 i did this because i always wanted to create my own versions of some DKC tracks and retrowave seemed to be the perfect style for those compositions.. you could literally just add a beat to the originals and they immediately blow up! rest is playing with synths from the 80s era 🐒
