As mentioned in the Cedars-Sinai video uploaded the other day, digital cameras such as these are making a return among Generation Z. In a way, using such vintage technology in 2024 does add a nostalgia factor. In fact, this particular camera tested in this video was the same one used to shoot the video that started our passion for elevators, that video being Kira1106's visit to the Treasure Island Las Vegas (when those elevators used to be Dover Traflomatic IV). However, it doesn't have to be elevators like our case; it can be literally any memory from your past that you can re-live. If you have one of these old cameras lying around somewhere, I encourage you to take it, find its charger, dust it off, and bring some new life into it. Perhaps start using it again and make some new memories with it.
In the future, not only are we doing exactly this with older cameras we already have, but we are even planning to expand our collection of filming equipment very soon. Meanwhile, this 16-year-old Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS from 2008 was taken to the Pixar Pals Parking Garage at Disneyland/Downtown Disney in Anaheim, California, United States for a test run on the garage's ThyssenKrupp elevators.
