I’m sorry if this is a silly question. But if I am doing a pattern that is: Main colour 1 x rows A colour 2 B colour 3 C colour 2 D colour 4 E colour 2 Back to main colour 1 Would I treat rows ABD as a one colour stripe/bullseye, and rows CE and back to main colour as a two/multi-row stripe because I don’t have a tail?

Patty , I am writing to share my gratitude. Single row stripes are challenging ! and I was particularly challenged . I tried different ways to get a smooth jogless row on a capelet I am making. I am an experienced knitter and was frustrated and feeling a bit hopeless. Then I found your video. Your instructions are so well detailed and your language is so clear. I have a project that has a purl row before changing to a new color in stockinette. It looks wonky lifting it. Do I slip it instead so it doesn’t break up the purl row?
