Gill’s coeliac disease was triggered around eight years ago. Symptoms included tingling in her lower limbs, balance and speech issues and fatigue. The disease has completely changed her life. We need to find the triggers to the development of coeliac disease. Do they determine when someone will develop coeliac disease and or predict how severe disease associated symptoms or complications will be?
I understand The lining of our digestive system is gradually damaged over a long period of time when eating gluten, including oats. RE:- Oats, Oatmeal - even if it says that it’s gluten free. (Gluten is used to describe a prolamin protein fraction. This gluten fraction is called gliadin in wheat, hordein in barley, secalin in rye and it’s avenin in oats. And this is where there tends to be confusion with oats - which contain the protein avenin, a gluten protein. So if you’ve ever seen products or recipes like ‘gluten free oats’ or ‘gluten free cookies’, this refers to oats that have been grown and processed without coming into contact with wheat, barley or rye.)
Its an autoimmune disease..if it goes un/misdiagnosed, until age 36, it causes your body to become inflammed, damages nerves of your gut permanently damaging your small/large intestines..progresses to other Autoimmune diseases..i have Rheumatoid Arthritis, Sjogrens syndrome, vasculitis and lung, kidney, heart failure..brain fog, poor because of disability. I soldiered through until i couldnt..doctors labelled me anxious and depressed and gave me sedatives..awful.
Awful and unforgivable. 😥
its interesting listening to this.I was ill for a part of my life.I can identify with this. I was born with it and I wasn't diagnosed until 37years later.

Lost my hair to alopecia..been fatigued with insomnia for years, bloating, early perimenopause, backpains worsening symptoms after recovery from many years of anorexia..now early onsett perimenopause got anxiety, and moodswings, migraine attacks since I was a kid now as an adult I have a runny nose all year round thought it was all from air pollution..had bloody stools for years it stopped after I stopped eating ryebread..also been eating organic never really liked white bread, rice,or pasta, and the truth is it caused bloating, and weightgain in me,and I always thought that was normal, and just bc these kinds of food were unhealthy.........theres hashimotos in my family,diabetes,epilepsia.....endometriosis...im still fairly new in this way of living its hard for me its very expensive to buy only organic, and glutenfree, and have to buy wear wigs at the same time.....theres also lots of allergy in my family my dad suffers from asthma.......
I know this is old but Caroline you look great ❤️🤪
Italian cooks insist that you should NEVER NEVER NEVER put oil in pasta water. NEVER! I've known that for 15 or 20 years? Do you ever listen to Italian cooks? As they are the ones that made up the pasta dishes? They all say do not put oil in the water.
I have celiac. My children have hldq2 and one has hldq8. My child with hldq2 has a friend with a celiac mother, but does not eat gluten free. Now I am being constantly asked why we eat gf and “ it’s not fair” I cannot find ANY information on what to do if you have not presented with Celiac but have hldq2. My child wants to know why they can’t have it once a week or once a month since they are not celiac. It’s breaking my heart. I’ve explained that it’s about being at your best, you healthiest. They want to know exactly how much they can get away with. My child resents me now because of this new friend. Can you suggest a place to find an explanation that will resonate with a 14 year old? I live in a country that does not believe it affects the people of this country. I’m not from here. I can’t find a doctor to explain the situation.
I'm asymptomatic. I want to eat gluten even if it's for 1 week a year. I'm gf 99.5% of time.

Lower prevalence of DH in may also be due to wealthier people in the south east with access to private healthcare to discover gluten issues earlier and starting a gluten free diet earlier.
You could have made a pesto sauce quickly to add to the pasta . Lots of basil a handful of pine nuts 3 tbsp pecorino cheese and 3 tbsp extra vergin olive oil, you can put a clove of garlic if you like , salt abd blend everything and the sauce is made .
In Italy we don’t put olive oil in the water
Hi it doesn’t show how much water in the ingredients

More education needs to be provided given the toxic nature of gluten. I put myself on gluten free diet after working out what foods were irritating the colon. It’s worth investigating !
Study prolamine proteins in grains. Just going free of Gliadin - typical prolamine protein doesn't have to help.
it seems a little like scam, no value added in this video. Yeah, get gluten free flour at the market and just to the same as with regular wheat flour, what a genius :(
