We grew up in Rochdale and it gave us everything we needed to make a life in the big wide world. I'm sorry to see it's decline in recent years and wish it and it's people well for the future. ❤

I've walked it many times and except for Stubbing Wharf and Callis Gardens I never knew the names of places. I love your videos and hope to return someday.

When i was in Moscow I stood on Rochdaleskaya oolitsa ( Rochdale Street) named after the pioneers.

Our rocker dale has been multi cultural for ever you only need to listen wat the good people of Rochdale said about slavery and I can say with out a shadow of a doubt even though there families were struggling that's why they condemned slavery. ..they wunt have known soon as they found out are people will stand together for eternity. ..real people bullshit doesn't wash with us ...love to all

am enjoying this film, when I lived there (growing up in Marland and Sudden area), at school we learnt about the co-op and the little shop in Toad Lane and Sir John Bright in Broadfield Park.am now in my 40's and haven't lived there not for years but it's so easy to slag off this town but when I go back I reminisce about my life growing up there and it was a good place, I went to school, went out to nightclubs (90's), chippy on corner lol...., lacrosse on sundays, the Toby , st aidens church, violin lessons around milkstone road, became diverse in one part and I been back recently and it's more diverse but no different than anywhere else x

I'm from wigan but my grandad was born in rochdale he went to a primary school called st Patricks would have been 1940s I know he lived round the corner from the school . Anyone from rochdale know if this school is still around and what area it is in I'm just curious as to which area he was from .
