I'm terrible at pvp, so I'm not sure I can give much advise there, but faction warfare can be mostly pve if that's your preference, you just have to find a quiet system and run the FW plexes there. Here are my basic rules: 1. Always keep local chat visible. If you see anyone marked unfriendly there, spam D-scan as long as they're in system 2. Set D-scan to 360 degrees, shortest range. That will catch only PCs and wrecks in the plex or at the warp gate, so you don't have a bunch of extra stuff to sift through 3. When you get to the warp gate, D-scan before you go in (unless you're sure you're alone) to see if anyone's in there. Don't go in if you're not ready for a fight, and just as a point of etiquette you shouldn't jump in on a friendly if you might be taking LP away from them. NVY-1 and ADV-1 plexes will only award full LP to one player, if there are more players in the plex the LP will be divided among them. NVY-5 and ADV-5 will award full LP to up to 5 players, and so on. It's possible that even players on your side will get hostile if you jump into a plex they're running. 4. If you're running friendly plexes, then all you have to do is sit there for the specified amount of time, so any size you can enter is fine, go for the biggest available to get the most LP. 5. If you're running enemy plexes, then you'll have to kill the NPCs, which means you need enough DPS to take them out. Practically, that means you can likely run plexes at your size, or maybe 1 size larger if you've got a good ship, so eg if you're in a frigate you can do scout and maybe small. 6. Pirate plexes are harder, but also pay more LP. 7. For Battlefields, try to follow this guide wiki.minmatar.org/guides/battlefields I'll also talk about it in the one I record today, it should be #747.

Someone told me a while back that they were able to able to go omega pretty quickly from ratting in null sec. I haven't tried it myself though. For me, I think the easiest way to make isk is faction warfare LP conversion.

@@amanefujimiyasan Yes, there was a major overhaul of FW mechanics last year. I didn't do FW before that, so I don't know exactly what changed. What I do is mostly pve, focused on capturing medium and smaller FW combat sites. There are now also special FW pirate sites, which are more profitable, but also a bit more difficult.

Not on this character, I haven't trained any Omega skills. I have another character that flies a Prowler fairly often though.

Basically, it's to show what the game is like as a free player. The early episodes were more tutorial/advice for new players, if you're interested in trying the game.

At the times I'm typically on (late evening, Pacific time) There's typically 16-17k players, and that's definitely not the most active time of day. I couldn't tell you much about how folks are distributed, since I'm mostly just doing my own thing.

Agreed. If you're in a non-pirate faction, I recommend using www.fuzzwork.co.uk/lpstore to decide what to buy for conversion, and sell to Highsec Buyback. I never get less than 800isk/LP doing that.

Thanks, that's an excellent suggestion, but my goal with this channel is to show what life is like as a solo Alpha. I may end up doing something like that eventually, but it will be after I've PLEXed at least a month on my own.

The account I use for this channel is an Alpha (free) account. There have been a few times where I've paid for a 3-day omega pass for this account, usually in order to access seasonal content (like winter ice mining, for example). I try to always point out when I have Omega status in my intro. Otherwise, everything I do here is free-to-play (as long as you've trained the necessary skills). There are 2 ways to pay for Omega: 1 - Directly with real money, as subscription or bundles (which I do on my other accounts) 2 - PLEX, which can be purchased with either real money or in game with isk It is totally possible to achieve and maintain Omega status without ever paying real money, it just takes time doing activities that pay well. In fact, a viewer commented just yesterday that they were able to go from new character to Omega within 3 months by ratting (killing NPCs) in null-sec. When I eventually try to PLEX this account, I'll probably focus on Faction Warfare LP conversion. Other common strategies are running Incursions, or null-sec/wormhole exploration. I haven't tried Incursions, but I've done the rest on this channel.

@@mrresistor3067 So, are we able to pay for example a week omega, learn something, and still be using the omega learned skill? For what I saw, the only thing an Alpha can do is 1 - Exploration 2 - PvE Missions. 3 - PvP. The rest is just for omega players, be it skill locked, ships locked or authorizations. For example, industry is almost everything for omega. Secure transportation is also behind omega skills and ships. I know there are many other ways, but I saw it is always an omega game, alpha players become just meat for omega.

@@lucaskazama878 No, Omega locked skills are only usable when you have Omega status. But, I don't think Alpha is as limited as you're saying. I've posted over 600 videos of unedited Alpha gameplay for the purpose of showing what's possible as an Alpha, so you can judge for yourself. I've done all the activities you've listed, including the ones you say require Omega. It's just not accurate to say that entire career paths are Omega locked. Yes, there are some specific things you have to be Omega for, but most of those require so much skill training that you'd have plenty of time to earn the isk to PLEX your account while waiting for those skills, if you're dedicated. I'll try to respond more fully in the one I'm recording today, it'll be #607, if you're interested.

It varies depending on what I'm doing, but I guess 45 minutes a day is probably about average. Some days I only play 10 minutes, some days it can be 2 or 3 hours (especially when I'm doing Faction Warfare). Usually with those longer days I'll split the video up into roughly hour long chunks. That gives me a little bit of a buffer so I can occasionally take a few days off while still having a new video up every day.

That's awesome! My goal right now is to get to max Alpha skill points. After that, I'll probably work on getting Omega. I'm leaning towards Faction Warfare LP conversion for that, but null ratting, null/wh exploration, and incursions are all under consideration.

Thanks, and you're not the first person to make those suggestions, but I don't do any editing or other post processing. Plenty of other channels do that already, better than I could (even if I had the time, which I don't). My goal here is to show the real experience of playing Eve, including the boring parts. I did do more commentary early on, and I still try to when I think something is worth pointing out or explaining, but chronic bronchitis makes means I can't just be talking all the time. As for the bookmarks, I've never had a problem docking. Most of the times I've been ganked have been when exiting a station.
