(Video filmed on site in October 2021). Let's follow in the steps of Vincent Van Gogh, who lived in Saint Rémy de Provence for a year in the 1880s. The Fontevraud Royal Abbey is over 900 years old. Europe's largest monastic site, Fontevraud has had many lives, reinventing itself through centuries of turmoil. I told the story of this exceptional site in November of 2021 and filmed the grounds in the daytime. The video is linked below. Even if the site wasn't crowded then, I promised myself I'd return to enjoy it at night, alone (I hoped.) I...

Hello Vero! Provide business service and transfers to the Loire castles ? I want to know the area from a historian of the area. family of 3?
I wonder what the architectural style of those beautiful buildings is...especially in la place du Pilory ?
That stained glass is just heavenly ❤
Oh my! Too many people for me!
I've enjoyed all of your videos and this one was also very well done. I hope to make it in to Annie's shop!
Normandie ❤
I’ve been there twice. The first time we were there when the flag came down by chance. I was surprised at how emotional I got. The second time it was intentionally planned to be there for this. I was no less emotional that time. I hope that everyone has the chance to honor those brave people who sacrificed their lives.
Sehr informativ:a treasure in Anjou near the big castle
❤ RESPECT ❤🙏❤
Amazing, I love antiquing and repurposing. This would be a fun store to visit. The light fixtures are wonderful
Another great video interview! Love learning about how French people work and live.
Lest we forget
I worked as an executive assistant for a few years also. It is a good position to move on from. :-P
Super et très intéressante! Merci, Véro!
What a lovely store! I very much enjoyed the visit, and getting to hear both of you chatting away beautifully in French. (Judith C/Judeet Hugo)
I love things that are vintage. I enjoyed the conversation and learning from you and Annie. The shop looks like it has some beautiful items. Thank you so much for sharing.😊
great store!! love her mid century modern aesthetic 😍
Wow, what a fantastic tour of the 17th! I'm traveling to Paris in August and am staying in the 17th, so it was so nice to be able to see the neighborhood. You are a great tour guide - very informative, relaxed and fun! Well done! 🙂
I enjoyed this very much. Thank you! 🌻
Thanks Vero for the epic story you have told about the history of the Château, today my husband and myself we have visited the château. It’s under 5 minutes walk from Clos Lucé but certainly on a path less frequented by the mass tourists and we are glad we are privy to the “insider” info you shared via this video
20:32 Many thanks Vero for the wonderful tour of château Montsoreau. I passed the castle on my cycle tour but didn’t have time to go inside😅Now watching your video I could see the magnificent views from the castle tower, what a visual treat! And really enjoyed seeing the back of the village and getting some ideas on how the caves were an integral part of French culinary culture. I cycled from the Abbey Royal of Fontevraud over the hills and vineyards down to Château Montsoreau so I saw the dwellings etched out of the tufa stone.
Trump called them suckers and losers
How special - Merci, Véro!
Merci beaucoup pour cette excellente visite guidée. Quel endroit magnifique!
I’m in Tours for the last three nights and I have walked most of the streets you had strolled through in the video. Also went to visit most of the iconic buildings in the town which you mentioned in the video. Did some long distance hiking along the left and right banks of Loire. I absolutely adore the city, which is a very walkable city with rich cultural heritage.
I cycled to the Château from Langeais especially to see it but I got there too early and it doesn’t not open till 10am. I went on to the Azay-Le-Rideau town for a quick tour. But luckily from your video it felt as if I had taken a stroll around the grounds of the château with you. Many thanks!
Went to see the lovely old timber framed houses around The Place Plumerea and took a photo with Le Vieux Mûrier. Although I didn’t get to eat in the bistro, I really enjoyed watching your interview with Claire, what a wonderful opportunity to get to know the locals
27:48 In Tours right now and it has been raining for the last few days. But it didn’t stop us from visiting this tranquil and peaceful Priory. Had the site almost all to ourselves except one other lot of visitors. We saw a lovely red rose on Pierre de Ronsard’s grave stone and could grasp the significance many thanks to your video.
What a lovely store and insightful discussion! I certainly hope to be able to visit in person some day!! (And I must say, I enjoy the new format of having both of you in front of the camera!)😊😊😊❤❤❤
Merci Danyel. You know I prefer to be in the background but duly noted. ;-)
Beautiful 😊
Lovely way to spend a weekend!
So beautiful! ❤
Happy to hear it!

Thank you for the great interview and for letting us meet Anne and her treasure shop! It would definitely be worth the time to stop and search for something special to bring home. I will certainly be looking for Le Bazar de Cosette when I visit Tour. Merci beaucoup!
You won't regret visiting Annie's shop (and Annie.) That's a promise!
Vraiment admirable !
Tu as raison Justin. Annie a énormément de talent!
What a charming interview. Annie's shop is definitely one I'd explore if I were in Tours. I hope she does decide to ship items internationally as well. Thanks for posting this video story.
I certainly hope so too. I can tell Annie would find clients quickly in this wonderful community!
Thank you - what a fun visit!
Oui, chapeau en effet!
What a lovely conversation! Annie's shop is beautiful and I can see many treasures I would love to purchase. Merci, Vero, for another great video interview!
Thank you for the wonderful feedback Janet. I have a feeling many members of the France with Vero community will be visiting "le Bazar de Cosette" on their next trip to Tours. A bientôt!
Mille mercis. Michael.
Are you sure that's Vincent? Looks a lot like Kirk Douglas... 😊 Merci for another great video.
