We just rescued another FC and brought it to our Museum in Fillmore, Utah. We used our Diesel Gladiator this time, and it did great towing through the desert and canyons of Colorado and Utah in 100 degree weather. #thejeepguy #stretch #jeep #willys #fc #fc150 #rescue #vintage4x4 #vintage #forwardcontrol #jeeprescue #jeepguy #offroading #Flatfender #godevil #Jeepmuseum #museum #jeepnation

You should do a ZJ, WJ, WK and WK2 comparison ! Which is a continuation of these 4 Jeeps
Great video! Thanks for posting
I had a 1966 CJ5 that had the 2/3-1/3 split bench seat.
I would be smiling too. Driving a Golden Eagle!
Thats a nice one. Mine are a little rougher 😊
The first truck had bigger tires which gives it a disadvantage.
Nice and clean CJ8. Congrats!
Wait a second? They continued making the CJ 5 wall the CJ7 was being made?
@jaredj631 Yes. The CJ-5 was made from 55-83, and the CJ-7 was made from 76-86.
I’m looking at a ‘78 CJ7 3 speed manual with the 304 that supposedly runs great with no real issues and it is sharp outside paint starting to fade some but not sure if it’s value. They are asking 8k but I don’t know how to find all the specifics on it as I don’t know how or where to get any info from the 13 digit VIN. Any suggestions on how to or at least identify what package and trim it is from factory?
✌️✌️😎😎✌️✌️
Getting it!
Wow. My Corolla could do that.
Its true, I had a ‘97 Corolla once and I took it on CALFIRE backroads all the time. Never got stuck once. BUT it didnt have a V8 or was a convertible.
*it's a jku *turns back around
😆 🤣 😂
😅
Cant drive a golden eagke without daisy dukes......male or female....its a rule.
I truthfully never seen an angry person wheeling an Jeep
I bet, if you had a good stick, you could walk up that more quickly and easily. 😜😜😜
I had an ‘81 CJ-5, my favorite car of all time. I lost interest in Jeeps when American Motors died. Now they’re not jeeps, they’re just Chryslers.
And Chrysler is now owned by European company, Stellantis.
odd how the GVWR is so high on it and the load capacity is equal to its own weight with those axle it has lol and drum brakes hah. they had duelly versions too
What a beautiful looking old school Jeep truck. :) No school like the old school.
Love it… My father had a 1994 Jeep Cherokee when I was 3 and I still rembember like it was today. Unfortunately I can't buy one in Spain due to environmental laws 😢
Is there any way to identify a golden eagle Cherokee by the outside? Other than decals I bought a 1979 Cherokee chief yesterday that has had a rattle can paint job and was hoping y'all would have an idea
Where i Can get one ?
In Brazil, we had the Willys Overland version until 1975, when it was taken over by Ford and the engine was replaced by a 4-cylinder. Many enthusiasts kept this version to use on 4x4 trails. Original versions remained in the hands of purists, as was my case. Mine is a civilian with a military body, which was replaced at some point before I acquired it. I'm sorry for my English, but it's because of Google Translate. brasilian hugs. Thank you for sharing your beautiful specimens.
Look like there was an Willy’s truck there also, great find
I rode many miles in my dad's 65 FC-150. If I were to ever restore a Jeep it would be that one. He too used it for plowing snow, must have been a good plow truck back in the day.
Nice!
This vehicle is really cool when they’re in good shape. Be good to restore it.
To us, it's really cool just how it is! 😊
god i want one so bad... there is one for $850 near me has all its drive train factory bumper, bed... needs tires and springs.. and im sure the engine needs work and stuff, has lots of rusty on the bottom of the cabin.. but $850 for a complete one is unheard off... but alas i took on a 76 Jeep j10 project last fall so i should probly stick with that
1972 - 1975 Intermediate CJ5s are the best. Toughest, most reliable Jeeps ever built. The transmissions were the toughest, engines were the most powerful for CJ5s . 1 piece rear axle D 44 rear diffs . They are easy to work on and so damn reliable its unbelievable. I have a 74 with over 300k original miles . The 304 is tired but its required just basic maintenance and simple replacement parts like wheel bearings , brakes , shocks , tires etc. Still running the original starter if you can believe that. But I did swap the original Motorola Alternator for a GM 3 wire alternator with a 95 amp rating to help with the warn 8274 winch. But besides normal wear parts its been absolutely as reliable as can be. Its not ever left myself or the original owner ( my grandpa ) stranded at any point. Nor has it been down for any extended period for any reason.I ts never been to a shop besides my home shop . Its just been a rock as far as reliability. And its fantastic as far as off road capability goes. Sure there are jeeps that are more capable but they arent unmodded 1974 tech and have significantly more sophisticated engineering thats gone into them. But for a stock 50 year old vehicle its been amazing and really a blast to drive for myself and before me my grandpa. Its truly been a member of the family . Its been driven half way across the country probably no less than 5 times. And has gone hunting throughout California, Idaho , New Mexico and Colorado. Its still rust and dent free other than a few small dings here and there. I have never been stuck in it and my grandpa told me he had never been stuck or failed to get through or over anything he needed or wanted to off road. I will be going through the running gear this winter freshening up the 304 V8, new synchros and bearings in the T18 trans and new bearings , seals and steering knuckles in diffs. Along with new suspension, re covering the seats and repaint. Not a full restoration but a basic refresh and polish.
nice
Anything built after 1971 is junk
Holy cow! Doesn't your fuel gauge in the Willys Wagon work either? I had a '60 for years and it was ALWAYS inaccurate. My '59 just plain isn't working. And you are either outta gas or... LOL! Much love from Provo! 👍😊
Love the Commando!
@@JohnSchiavoneJrBSEERN thank you!
I just got a CJ-5 and next on my list is a FSJ.
You'll love it. Both are fun Jeeps to drive!
You can also take another fuel tank and modify it to go under the passenger seat and hook up additional fuel lines.
Live in AK and have had 2 of these. I sold one to someone in Colorado who just had to have it. He even paid me to deliver it in person as he didn't trust shipping companies. I still have my second one. I scraped all the insulation out of it. Huge nightmare. That stuff is really stuck on. I have a full soft top on it in the summer with hard doors. I also got ahold of a Scrambler top and tail gate and have it on occasionally. I'm currently looking for a company to make me a set of the original decals.
The white one sit next to it is at a scramble with a full top on it. Where are you located? My first sheep was a 72 CJ five with a 258 I loved it and I’ve had multiple jeeps and 72 years old deliveries, station wagons I’ve had them all, gladiator trucks J 20
Amazing , perfect combo , how much the wheel base is ?
She's a better driver than you are by a long shot. Have fun drifting around every corner. At least that's how it Feels on a Mule. Call Emery mule supply He is. a good guy.
This is your friend Taylor from like 20 years ago. We went Jeeping together in st George
Great video!! The M715 is the one on my wishlist still!
I bought a 75 CJ-5 (inline 6 motor) new after I got out of college. I drove that everywhere for 15 years in all conditions. It was tough as nails, and I just loved it. I finally sold it after we had kids, but I’ve missed it all these years
Umm so that is a way better one then I seen a month ago I believe
This is a great video! I bought a 73 Commando a few months ago, same color as your 72. I’ll like to install larger tires in it. Can you share what tire size you have in yours? Thank you!
Thank you! They are 31's.
Nice! Did you lifted it?
I just bought a 1954 and it's got only one cross grill piece and it is in the center. When I was 23, I had a 1951 that had five in all (two more).
I flipped a CJ2A doing that in Northern AZ decades ago. I have it on videotape somewhere.
Bro put that on CZcams 😎
Awesome. Love the stock look. Dont like it so much when they're modified in various ways, especially lifting and all that 4x4 stuff.
Sweet. I drive a restored, late war MB.
