This is such a wonderfully helpful explanation.
Absolutely magic!!! Ive had chronic tension and pain in my pelvis, back, neck for 20+ years, and after using this pandiculation, i feel like there is a "hollow space" in my pelvis i have never felt before! I can feel it tighten genly and relax with every breath. Ive done years of physical therapy, muscle relaxers, chiropractics, massage, and i have never had this!! Thank you so much for offering this for free. I am absolutely going to purchase the full body! I could cry with happiness.
This is so true. Plantar Fasciitis comes from problems with the S1 lumbar. When the S1 has a bulge or herniation, it make your muscles spasm, and when everything is tight, the pain in the foot/feet starts.
How often to do to reset nervous system please?
yes, wonderful! I have started teaching this at the beginning and end of my yoga classes as well 👍
Thank you very much for a clear, to the point explanation.
Ooooooo good to know.
Love loving your course Sarah.
Is it intended to help with internal snapping hip? I had horrific injury with tearing adductor muscle in 2022 and surgery and all the hip muscles problems in 2023, but tight iliopsoas and this annoying snap on external rotation of hip seems to be the last thing left that needs to be fixed and it's not going anywhere whatever I do. So if you’re a child, how is that possible when you have a lot more flexibility etc?
Even though children are flexible, they can still develop imbalanced patterns of muscle tension. Idiopathic scoliosis caused by tight muscles in a child can be the result of an injury or fall, in which they instinctively tighten up muscles on one side of their torso. It could also be the result of habitual activities or stress.
Does a tight psoas cause gut issues & diarrhea?
It is possible that a tight psoas could contribute to digestive issues, but it is much more likely that diet is the cause. Viral or bacterial infection is also possible. You may want to see your doctor, consult a functional medicine practitioner, or do an elimination diet like Whole30: whole30.com/

@@somaticmovementcenter i’ve been doing your program and I’m on the washcloth so I’ve been doing it over a month. I am feeling better however, I’m still tight and my flexibility is not getting better. Should I start adding stretching? Or could somatic help with becoming more flexible?
@@hulkrogan8045 Somatics will make you more flexible, and I don't advise static stretching (pulling on a muscle that is passive). Here is some information on why static stretching doesn't have long-term results: somaticmovementcenter.com/stretch-reflex-myotatic-reflex/ Retraining the nervous system does take time and regular practice, so part of this process is just being patient and continuing your daily practice. You should also pay attention to any daily activities that might be keeping your muscles tight, like exercise: somaticmovementcenter.com/how-to-approach-exercise-when-youre-in-pain/ Make sure you're practicing the Somatic movements extremely slowly and gently; if you do them too forcefully, they don't accomplish much. You can also do supplementary things to relax your muscles, like heat (hot bath with Epsom salts, or infrared sauna) or taking a magnesium supplement if necessary.

What kind of doctor besides chiropractor will tell you about position of hips? A chiropractor told me once but no other Dr addressed this and told me how it would negatively affect me. Now that I'm 65, I have had so many pain and back problems, tightness, spasms, etc and I get looks like I'm making it up. It's so frustrating. Doctors are paid for giving out prescriptions and not looking for the root cause of things. Ugh
Doctors are not taught physiology; more pharmaceuticals. A chirpractor who works with kinesiolgy helped me to walk again. If it werent for him I would have a six inch metal rod in my back. And chiropracters are not given the credit they are due

I wish there was more help offered for those of us who have a true structural leg length discrepancy … my right femur is one inch longer .. this caused me to get injured at age 17 and rupture my ACL .. my entire life has been full of severe pain and injuries because no one helped me diagnose this until I was 29 … I was given steroids for pain for decades which caused diabetes …literally this issue has ruined my health in so many ways … I hope people get a good diagnosis to find out if it is structural or not.

I have been diagnosed with lunbar scoliosis and my curve is on the left, which also has a rotation of 6 degrees. Over the years I have had scoliosis, I have had physical therapy with a scoliosis coach and learned the Schroth method for helping improve my condition and possibly slow down or stop the curve, with consistency. What I am reading here does not sound like it would help derotate my lumbar spine. ????
Hi, Yes, Clinical Somatics also allows you to release the tight muscles that are rotating your spine. Rotation is very common in scoliosis due to the shape of our vertebrae. When our spine bends to either side, some degree of rotation is typically unavoidable. Clinical Somatics exercises teach you how to release chronic muscle tension in all parts of your body, in any pattern of tension. You can learn more on my website: somaticmovementcenter.com/ and in my book: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W7PG7ZC I hope that helps to get you started!
