For years this bar was asking for some type of tournament or league. We decided to begin a tournament to get together and have some healthy competition. BCA (with some voted on rule changes such as 8/9 Ball break respotted and no 3 foul rule. Also, 7 or more tournaments won, a player has to win an extra game in the 1st round to stay in the winners bracket - handicap).
Double elimination. Everyone starts in the winner's bracket - bracket 1. Loser or 1-loss bracket is bracket 2. Rounds are the progression. Semifinal is the bracket 2 final game to decide who plays the last man standing undefeated. Finals - winner (br1) has to win 1 game, 1-loss (br2) has to win 2.
1st place - 70% of the Purse $
2nd place - 20% of the Purse $
3rd place - 10% of the Purse $

What an illegal jump shot!!!
Lol yeah, Juan plays with a 3 piece cue with hard leather tip. So I know he can use it as a break, jump, or playing cue. I could've sworn I heard a thud and shot down on the cue ball but others called it out. I was a good distance away at the time soI didn't really get a good look at the shot until seeing the footage. Yes, the scoop jump is illegal in our Tournament.
ATTENTION POOL PLAYERS!!!! I'm mostly certain this wasn't a legal break. BCA rules. I think four balls have to hit a rail to be a legal break. I did not see it happen. Three balls hit a rail but the cue ball also went down. We have a rulebook on hand, but we keep it at the bar, and I would have pulled it out to double-check. Now that I'm re-watching the footage, I think this should have been a re-rack and players switch on the break. I mean, it is what it is and the players decided to play the rack. Does anyone know the ruling on this?
Okay so I missed the ball that went in the side pocket. I guess the part is confusing me only three balls were extracted from the rack and the cue ball still went down
