    Something to consider w/these pegs that was a deal breaker for me, is that you can no longer wedge your toes up against the sides of the chassis & squeeze w/ankles quite like you can on stock-height pegs due to the machined ledge between the peg's platform & mounting hole that forces your feet further apart. This ledge is not shown on their product page (totally different set of pegs pictured) but you can see it in this video. Had I known this, I wouldn't have bought them. I have tried both standard & lowering pegs from FLO, and prefer the standard by far. Lowering pegs were on for 1-2 rides, and I sold them. 6'2" VET MX rider w/long torso, '20.5 Husky FC450RE. I love FLO's stuff, but these ain't for me. I run their levers on all my bikes and have never broken one through some GNARLY crashes. Currently running Raptor Ti pegs on '23 GG MC366F that are 10mm to the rear @stock height & they are stellar at getting you away from hanging over the front of the bike so much when in the attack position. Would not hesitate to run FLO's stock height pegs though, as they are beautifully machined & plenty grippy.

    I'm a little confused. Don't all Shimano masters use the same lever just some without adjusters? I've read you can buy a xt m8000 style levers to install on zee brakes so you get the external adjuster. Which if I'm not mistaken is the lame lever on the Saint. So why not say these levers fit Saint, Zee, XT, XTR, SLX and however many other master there are.

    Great product. Anyone who works on their own bike will install them easily. Quick shipment but unfortunately USPS goes through Salt Lake for everything. Painful to think my levers went right by my house to SL just to come back to S Utah. NOT Flo's fault but waiting to ride another 2 days🙄

  • @MrFreerideForever

    There's a suspicious amount of 5 star reviews on the Flo site. By the time I received these in Canada, they cost over $200, with the list price being $100 USD. $100 USD for a couple lever blades is absurd. For comparison my Race Face Aeffect R 7075-T6 cranks only cost me $150 CDN. A set of SLX complete levers would only be $150 CDN. I'm unable to find what alloy these blades are made of but when a part is made from 7000 series it's usually advertised like Flo did with their foot pegs so it sure looks to me like these blades despite the ridiculous price are made from shitty 6000 series aluminum. Are they even forged? Aside from the bullshit price that may be attributable to a small company with low volumes (but I suspect gouging due to dire unmet need) the design of these is a great example of why I'm convinced that bikes tend to attract automotive & aerospace engineering rejects. The range of motion touted as a feature (that is not in the direction that crashes bend blades anyway) is restricted by a sort of tab so that they can only extend to roughly perpendicular to the bar. Why? That puts them in the most vulnerable position possible to be bent/broken in all the ways. Same as if someone wanted to break your arm, the way these blades extend is analogous to handing a bully your arm so they can break it. They couldn't break your arm if it's tight to your bod. The stock blades don't have their spring & associated range of motion for any sort of crash protection, the range is there to accommodate the reach adjust & the spring is to hold the SERVOWAVE cam tight to the roller & take up any slack caused by the reach adjust. The reach adjust on the Flo blades is needlessly convoluted, significantly weakens them & adds cost. I see no reason reach adjustment needs to be done on the fly or without tools, but for those who do, these things use a spring, a ball, a set screw, a threaded rod with a flat milled on it & a threaded/knurled ring to do what a bolt with a knurled head & some threadlocker could do. Or a bolt with a Nyloc or similar pressed in. To fit all that junk they've got in there, they put a slot, with sharp right angled corners inside the blade. Ever heard of a stress concentrator? They've got 2 of them in close to the most dangerous spots possible. To accommodate the spring that pushes the ball into the ring for the clicks on this Rube Goldberg concraption, there's a blind hole to further weaken the entire area. The deliberation of $hitmano using a piece of thin, folded aluminum for their blades wasn't to have them bend or break in a crash by being forced in toward the stem, it's to bend "down" so they end up shaped like an "L", which is exactly what happened to mine on my first crash a week after getting my SLX brakes. $hitmano has a history of this & Flo appears to be doing the same, taking advantage of the fact that there's no adequate options on the market. Either that or they just REEEALLY don't know WTF they're doing. These levers as manufactured may be marginally stronger than stock. Don't let "Lifetime Warranty" fool you. Warranties are generally bullshit to begin with, or at least to be safe a smart shopper will assume so. Their warranty is typical, covering only manufacturing defects. It doesn't extend to crashes or design defects despite claims to having an "Unbreakable" design. DESIGN is the prob here. So once again as with $hitmano, it'll work great until it experiences the slightest bit of adversity. Despite how terrible these blades are, they do have one thing $hitmano's don't & that's the ability to mod them to be as durable, or close to it, as they should be. I ground off the tabs so they'll swing all the way around instead of stopping perpendicular to the bar & removed the bogus adjuster that I don't need anyway, threaded the hole, made a spacer for the slot & clamped it in with a titanium bolt. I wish I could post pics. I'm now confident that they are as strong as they'd need to be & as strong as they can be. I don't need adjustability, I need durability, but if done my way they'd be easier to adjust & made even more durable for it at a lower cost. Lean design people. Learn it! Do it! I'm so sick of all the designed to fail bullshit in the world, Edison with the bulbs, GM with the vehicles, $hitmano with bike parts & sorry guys but if you really meant well here & just don't know how to do it right, I guess thanks for trying. :/

    • @kevinbaker9535
      @kevinbaker9535 Před rokem

      Wow, bad day? Can't make everyone happy. There's lots of work and decision making in the development of a product. Material available, machinable, durability for the average Joe, assembly, looks, and the list goes on. I guess my advice is make your own. With the price and availability or lack of, the stock levers, seems like a fair price for a decent product that's needed by those that don't want to get gouged by a bike shop for the whole assembly, which is currently one of the only ways to get levers. I doubt that if you cnc'd your own product that was in demand or fit a nitch need, you'd offer it for a minimal profit. Maybe in Socialist Canada? They work, they're cool, and arrive quickly, not much more you could ask for.

    some feedback here: 1) One of my levers came with the set screw basically protruding into the hole for the post, so a step should be to check for that first. 2) my post does not just slide in like that. I had to pop the allen key pretty hard to get it out, and now cannot get it back by myself and am going to need an expert's help to do it. I'm not sure if this is rare or if a lot of these posts have this tight of a tolerance.
