That's badass! Worked perfectly...thanks so much for sharing that information
Genius, genius, genius. AWESOME.
Totally just did it!!! Perfect!
Omg those dudes have no hair, eyeballs, or skin left
People like you ruin it for everybody
Lol thats cool
So how do you get around the 3 bolts that attach the ignition box to steering wheel?
One more thing you could do is to find a round plastic plug (hardware store, etc.) to fill the hole when you're done to make it look neater. In this case you would drill the hole to match the plug.
😮 you didn’t make it look so easy did anybody else
Awesome instruction. I've used this technique twice on 1999 suburbans and it works like a charm. I've saved hundreds over a repair shop. Thank you for making this video!
I just want to say thank you. I did it in less than 5 minutes. You saved me a lot of time and most likely aggravation.
Best car ever, just going to buy one.
Thank you for this video
Will it work on an 02 Yukon Denali?
I’m not sure if it’s the same configuration.
Thank you bro for this simple and easy way of doing this
Thanks very much that helped me emensly
loving these videos! keep it up 👍🏻
Holy 💩 this is a cheat code!!! Thanks for the video.
Awesome man!! Was not looking forward to taking all that stuff off. Plus I didn’t have the socket for screws underneath. Watched this video had it in less than 5 minutes. I will fill hole and it will be good to go!! Thanks for this video!!!!!!!!!!!!
Will this work if my Sterring wheel is locked

Brooooooo!!!! I had hit a wall, I didn't see how to do it without removing everything!.. thank you sir.
Holy shit...It worked perfect. Thanks man
Awe man. Thanks..
Dude! I tried your method to replace the ignition cylinder and it totally worked. Thanks so much for your intelligent advice. I appreciate your no nonsense approach.
RIP Saab, I miss the green lights interior.
My Brother!! Thank you many times over!! You saved me a lot of time and money!!
🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for the tip. Complete job done in less than 1/2 hour. Including filling the hole with a dab of black silicone.
What year?
Hey man. You saved me a hassle and time. It took a matter of seconds. Seriously thanks. !!
This is a lot slower then a stock 3.0T saab
The ignition lock cylinder on my 97' K1500 Silverado was acting up so I decided to try this video method and it worked but seems like I should've drilled like 1/4 inch toward the steering wheel while using the recommended 4 1/4" pin point as your starting point. I used a skinny nail and located the push button like 1/4" towards me and away from the drilled hole. Best thing to do is to lay the new cylinder on top of the old one before removing it and see where the push button would be but that's my observation when I was doing it.
You rigth about that.
She made us bend down ughhhhh Billie made me do squat😪 I LOVED IT THO AHHAHAHAH
Hi! Do you have a daughter?

Is one of their names Delylah? I. Think she might be one of my childhood friends.

Fxxck I just fxcking broke it everything on it
Haha.. clever. Saves a lot of time
You sir are the man! 💯
Great video bu we still can’t seem to get it to work on 97 Silverado 1500. Could we not be using a small enough tool?
Should be no bigger than a paper clip and make sure your in the release pin hole with the key in.
Tommy Fellows thanks man. Ended up realizing that our key wasn’t quite turning as far as it needed to so we couldn’t hit the actual button. My dad started getting pissed and I beat him to the fix
I can’t get my door time to shut up now though even with no key. Any idea why?
Genuis... thanks for taking time to post it. Did it after work in 20 min. saved me from having to take off work. And about 2 hrs of cussing. Again thank u from, southeast Missouri.
Dude I think u pisses off some of these over priced grease monkeies . me I'm pretty mechanical been a fabracator for35 years and I jerked a many chevy ignition out with a slide hammer but they talk all the air bag shit and truck no start scared me so I'm jacked i found your video thank you very much for your time and effort.
Awesome video if there was 10 star rating you would be it.
Too easy. took longer to reprogram radio than to replace lock cylinder. Less than one can of beer.
Fuuuuck'N AAAAAAAAA
Thats the smart way!
I did it and it worked. You saved me some money by not taking it to the mechanic. Thanks
