curious what your symptoms were on the truck with this? I'm currently chasing a phantom stall myself, but the fuel pump is only a year old. My line to the rollover was replaced, but the rollover itself may need replacing. what were your symptoms on the truck?

Thank goodness I saw this video a while back. I hate going for a repair with no knowledge of what possible fixes exist. I gave this video to my mechanic, along with the gears I ordered from his Ebay site. Saved megabucks on my 2012 G37 Vert. It was out of action through winter. Jesus this video saved me over $5000.00.

Update. Infiniti wants $2053 per flapper, $4460.00 W/tax. Just the parts. $870 diagnostics, $840 labor. Over $6100, for new flapper with the same faulty gears. I gave them the finger. Bought these gears on ebay, $198 for the pair. My mech at M&P auto repair in Arlington, Tx had them in 4 hr job, $775. Top is working flawlessly. Baby I'm back. 😊

But when i do this it says it’s connected but no sound comes out nor does the option “ Bluetooth” pop up when going thru which to leave radio on, can sum one help lol

Could be not only battery, i saw on video it is turning off really hard, maybe panel is cloudy and need to be clean or broken because it not have suitable Isc now like new one and have no power to charge the battery.

1. Once top is down, can the car be used for around town trips (obviously garaged rest of time)? 2. Approximate time for first timer with average experience (have done brakes, rotors, all suspension / bushings on late 80s Z) (3) Any DIYers in St Louis area that would do this for fair pay?

For those doing the fix, is the car drivable during the repair? My understanding is the top is down for most of the repair - if always garaged, limited trips (<40 mph), etc) .. can be it used practically (obviously with top down)? What is the average time to do this repair the first time (I have done oil, brakes, rotors, etc .. biggest project was all 4 corners on a late 80s Z car including struts, bushings, etc). Took over a month (all hand tools , breaker bars, etc ..) and busy job / young family .. and a 3rd car at the time so no rush.

Thanks for the video. My 2009 G37S doesn't currently have this issue but, from all the people that have dealt with the problem I know it is coming. I'm the second owner and got it in 2011 with 13K on it. The only problem I've had so far is the banging noise at the right rear window that everyone complains about.

What size rivets are needed to replace the ones you remove?

DISCLAIMER: I just did this yesterday and it is not for the faint of heart. If you do not know much about mechanics and or car repair, you may absolutely destroy your car. Absolutely miserable experience replacing just the passenger side. Took literally 45 minutes to drill out the rivets because they kept spinning. Had to have one person hold the back side of the river and the other drill all 5 of them out. Then trying to put the arm back in place took another 45 minutes. You must loosen ALL the bolts besides the few that you remove or you ain’t getting that arm back in place. Overall it took 4 hours. Yes I only paid $99 for the gear but even looking back I would have gladly laid out $1200-$1500 for someone else to just replace the arm assembly. I am no longer as nimble as I used to be and I was challenged to bend in all kinds of positions to get this thing completed.
