Well it's been a bit since my last update, so here's what I have done since then. Exhaust is finished, cab and bed are painted and I still need to clear the body. Going to be starting the interior work this week.

By the way, your kit looked different, mine didn’t have pre drilled holes for the mirror mounts , even had to drill holes in the frame for the mud flaps, horrors abounded ;0(
My AMT R Model build sent me crazy. The radiator blocked the hood hinges, the radiator cap hit the underside of the hood cab didn’t sit in a good position to glue to the chassis. Almost stomped into rubbish. Very disappointed. The build went well till the final assembly.

Where's the window glass? Why didn't you detail the chrome trim?
Kit was partially started when I got it and I didn't have any glass for it. I didn't have much experience modeling at the time and didn't do much detail painting at that time period

Good job in this build. i have one from 20 ys or better thats still unbuilt, in the box. My cousin bought the exact same model & i built him a short wheel base tractor like this this one here. He wanted a trailer to be pulled behind it so I took the dry box from the kit & built him a trailer. So now he has a "baby semi truck" as he calls it, Lol. Thankya for sharing this video

@@WayneHerr429 Your very welcome & thankya for sharing. . . . .yeah, ya definately got that right for sure. . . . 10-4! I bought the snowplow version of this kit bout a year ago. Dunno what i wannuh do with it yet! Build it as the plow version, tandem axle semi tractor or another "single drive shorty", single or tandem axle flatbed, dry box van, a flatbed tow truck or perhaps a giant duelly pickup with a 1/24 scale duelly pickup body. Heck. . . . . its like ya say, "the possibilities with this kit are endless" as well as others. . . . .10-4!

@@45productions57 As far as I know they are still making stuff. I still see stuff on Facebook every once in a while and I know they always seem to have issues with the website. I've always sent him messages on Facebook rather than use the website. But lately I've been getting some stuff from other sites just to see what other people have to offer.

Yes. Not sure what kit it came out of. I bought a pile of engines at a model show and it was one of them.
did you use firestone frame or the 55 ford frame on this build thank you oh buy the way it is going to be a great job
I used the frame from the amt 55 chevy kit. Used the front and rear axles and transfer case from the amt Ford Firestone truck kit. Custom built shock towers and driveshafts to fit the new frame.
