it's my everyday car, I'm happy with the automatic transmission choice, it works perfectly, a manual transmission for the GR86 would be my choice if it was just for weekend driving.

good advice, I will try the difference in manual mode. The 4th gear is long enough, the car would benefit from its dynamics if it were shorter

Why wouldn't it? I've always heard shit from people about different engines breaking on them but quite honestly, don't rev it up to 6000k Rpm after the start and be gentle to it. People make so many mistakes while driving car (revving high after start, not cooling down the turbo after a trip, always driving in High RPM, etc.) so my conclusion is: It will last, as long as you drive as a normal person.
