Hi @manhattansewerdrain638 😀 We did Barnegat to Cape May in about 4.5hours ish. It was a calm day compared to when we did just over 3 hours from Twinlights in Sandyhook to Barnegat. No waves boosting our speed 😜

Thanks @guyh.4121 😀 it was really nice watching the squall go by - not a drop of rain while we were watching. Made it across lake Ontairo at the right day. Crossing any day after for about a week wouldn't of been so smooth!

Hi @tedrager2460 - this boat show was in mid October 2023.

Hi @pbryan25 - they were very expensive fresh off the press boats. The small fishing boats ranged from $50-200k and the big ones anywhere from $600k up to $3million or more. Most are 2024 models. Some are privately owned pristine charter boats as well. There were a few brokers selling used boats of all sizes but none were at the show.

Gotta be respectful to all 😀 whether it's a no wake zone or just passing through. The journey is more important than the destination - doesn't take much longer slowing down for a minute so not to ruin someone else's day. Easier to see the world and make friends when you're not blasting through too! It was nice to find most boats that passed us on our journey did so kindly - only a few that shook us up.

Aw thank you! I'll have to do that! Turns out that place was an old munitions factory that exploded back around 1910. Felt like something was going to jump out at me at any moment 😜

Mom wasn't too happy about it but my inner relic hunter got the best of me 😊 I'll see if I can find more info - the dockhand at the marina told me of it and that him and and his girl friend would go searching for old bullets. Can only really reach it by water - it is secluded by the cliff side. The spot between the buried tunnel and the brick chimney looked like it had collapsed - possibly where it exploded but everything else looked in good condition.

It was a very quiet marina in the middle of nowhere. A nice stop along the way but a little far out to see the town. Had a wonderful time exploring with the kayak and finding that waterfall!

Means the world to hear! Wish you the best! Being out on the waterways with him is a true treasure! Been very blessed to have 2 loving and supportive parents. Dad couldn't do this alone and I was more than happy to support his dream!
