A modern glass structure would at least be a striking contrast between the old and the new, enhancing the beauty of the old whilst showing the advancements of the new. This is just a pastiche that has identity issues. It is horrible. You cannot faithfully recreate the old. I love both the old and the new but the two should never be mixed to create whatever this is. IMO.

Great house and a lovely home

What an monstrosity...this cookie-cutter house sticks out like a sore thumb amidst its surroundings. It practically yells, "I was manufactured solely for an architect's vision," with no regard for the neighborhood's charm or character.

What really compliments the house design, its the garden. It really balances out the squareness and darkness of the exterior. THe house in itself is lovely, it gives the appearance of privacy from the outside and brightness on the inside. The dynamics and consistency throughout the house and the exterior. Lovely effort by the architects.

Everything old is new again. This home reminds me strongly of a beachcomber design that was popular during the 1960s and 1970s. It doesn’t remind me at all of camping. A direct line of sight from the front to the back of a home is considered poor feng shui because with nothing to slow or redirect it, chi will rush straight from the front door out the back. This allows the energy, which might bring luck or money, to leave your home without circulating and bestowing its benefits. I think it lacks imagination.
