My dad suffered a heart attack at home on April 12th. It left him in an unresponsive coma, to where doctors had told us that a decision needed to be made. My father, a man who loved the guitar and loved his music, must have been speaking to me. The night I came home from the hospital, I came onto CZcams to put some music on and smoke a little weed. This was the first thing that came on. I felt like it was him telling me to click on this and discover the music. Truly amazing stuff.

An attempt answer why there is controversy around AP's music : Because his ability to write and produce songs are not on the same level as his guitar playing. He would honestly be much more highly regarded if he just played guitar for a singer songwriter who could produce better songs. Some of his songs don't sound as good as they could and I think its because he is more of a purist when it comes to guitar music so He tries hard not to over produce a song but goes to the extreme and under produces it which makes for very dull sounding music, unless you can perform them relly really well vocally and unfortunately his singing and voice aren't on that level.
