could be apa-hit-2 but the cooldown timings have been changed over some of the kovaaks updates. my current cooldown is 0.03 but it could have been lower then maybe 0.02 or 0.01 idk. that could make it sound different.

another step forward, this time mostly from switching to a pad that's not worn out and sticking it to my desk. shows if I can resolve issues with pads+mice then I can do much better

I really like how smooth the surface is and I like the balance of speed and some control, a bit smoother/slower than a raiden while still fast and easy to microadjust. The 3mm version held up consistently with high heat and humidity over summer. Being machine washable is nice too. It has a normal rubber base that pretty much all pads have which won't stick to my desk. No bases except artisans do. I have a workaround with grip spray that kind of works but in a perfect world I would like either a puretrak talent surface with a mid artisan base or a raiden mid with slightly less slippery surface. Might just need to find the right skates to combine with the latter. Heard they've discontinued the all black puretrak talents for new designs though, and I'm not a fan of designs so will have to wait and see before getting some fresh ones.

@@chrisplusk Ah nice! Been looking around for mousepads recently after i bought my Artisan Hien mid. I've got a FX Zero Soft on its way when its in stock. Then i'll have two quite different mousepads :D
