John Lennon chewed gum and sang, he’s chewing gum in the Revolution video too. I wonder if he often sang, and chewed gum, and I wonder how he did it? Voice teachers teach you to never sing, and chew gum, it can be very embarrassing. Luckily nothing bad ever happed while John Lennon sang, and chewed gum.
I just found out this is a 16 year old Vinnie Appice on drums. Very cool. Went on to play with Ronnie James Dio and Black Sabbath. What a roster of talent!!!!
I'm always a bit perplexed by Lennon's guitar playing here during Imagine. He seems to be strumming too fast and out of rhythm. Was the guitar off and he was just goofing around?

John sang so good live I dont know why he didnt like to perform live. He was sure used to it being a Beatle. I adore John and i watched this again and made me cry. He is missed. Iam 62 so the beatles came out when I was 2. Now I am doing deep dives of them and especially John. God rest his soul. 😭

He’s in great voice here. I think part of it was he was fed up with performing after the Beatles live shows had degenerated into a nightmarish chore for the band, part of it was his own anxiety, and part of it was he rightly felt that he had nothing to prove.

@@Hal9000ize Well I like Vinny Appices playing way more. But it is al personal opinion of what kind of drumming you like. Wards drumming has more swing and more repetetive playing and when compared to the powerhouse Vinny Appice his playing becomes a bit light. Vinn Appice has more dynamic, groove and behind the beat feel wich I appreciate.

John's song Imagine could well be the anthem of the New World Order whose motto is you will own nothing and be happy, which echoes imagine no possessions. They're also ruining nations, mainly white countries, with unrestricted illegal and legal immigration. So that's another little lyric coming true, that is, imagine there's no countries. Slippin and a sliding was what John did alright. Cause he wasn't going to give up his possessions and as for imagining no countries, he could have moved literally anywhere, but apparently, he couldn't imagine doing that. Still, he was a great guy. A chameleon who hung around with the wrong people and had a guilt complex about his wealth.
That’s not what it meant though. It really meant you can’t blame your actions on government, religion or anything else. YOU are the one doing things, take responsibility. But of course , they’ll take it that way and use it.

Recuerdo que ese día estaba en casa de mi abuela materna y ya sabia que iva a pasar ese programa por la miche dicho día en t.v y me dice mi abuela hijo dejame ver la t.v que ya va empezar mi tv novela dije ni modo y en chinga sali a mi casa para alcanzar a ver a lennon en vivo en tv sin saber que era su ultima presentacion en vivo y en vida. Y se que el esta viajando "atravez del universo."
