I spent a summer in Minnesota as a teenager, up on the Iron Range. We made trips to Duluth, the twin cities, even north to Emo, Canada, and covered quite a bit of the state. Favorite thing was 4th of July and all the small town parades and celebrations. Least favorite would have to be all the mosquitoes. Returned as an adult to Minneapolis/St. Paul and did a lot of genealogy research at the University of Minnesota library. Also traveled south to places my grandparents used to live. Mall of America didn;t exist during either of those trips.

This is so fun! The embellishments definitely have the feeling of an amusement park! I will keep these in mind when I start working on my Disneyland photos.

Love your layout. New to scrapbooking, I’ve got a lot to learn.

I too started with CTMH last Aug. Was so sad when they announced the closing. Have not yet been able to “gear up” with Stampin’ Up! Hopefully soon. Want to get back to layouts, etc. Have been too busy this summer. Love your layout. Your daughter is so adorable in those pics!

I keep trying to talk myself out of the pinwheel set…but it is so cute! I just started stamping on my layouts and I do like a small scatter stamp but have not picked a favorite. Thanks for sharing your great layout!

I've started using reverse tweezers after seeing others. I'm still a bit awkward with them but find they are really helpful. Really enjoyed your photos and layout.

This is a great sketch for a patriotic theme. The cute little banner across the top plays in perfectly with the pinwheels. I like the addition of your scatter stamping and had to chuckle when you mentioned limiting yourself to three.

I love the photos and your layout looks great .Perfect colours ! My adult kids all grew up liking Harry Potter and my oldest son's teacher read a chapter a day to his class of 10 year old's which they all loved . My daughter and I are probably the biggest fans and still watch the movies when she comes home for a visit, I'm a 62 year old fan. Loved those kind of stories as a kid myself.

I love your stamped leaf paper and your layout looks so good in those colours. I'm trying to use my stamps as much as I can so making background paper is definitely something I should do more of on my layouts. tfs 🙂

We are big Harry Potter fans! I do have photos from universal studios I need to scrapbook and you have inspired me to look at this stamp set in a different way. Great idea for the owl stamp too! Love the random stamping on the scarlet cardstock.

Creating my own DSP was what first attracted me to stamps and inks. I love the freedom to choose whatever colors work best for my photos. Thanks for sharing!

Stampin up trimmer for sure. I tried inking the edges with the SU ink pad and you can’t it puts cut lines in the ink pad. Our pads are not cloth. When I tried stamping on the pad afterwards the cut lines were in my images.

Really enjoyed watching your layout process. Just wondering what coloured ink you used for your stamped leaves?

That was my first trimmer and I used it for a long time! I am now enjoying the new Tim Holtz trimmer. I love your minimalist style-your clusters are nice-and not over done!

I love this layout! I have this set but I haven't touched it yet, I am now inspired to random stamp the leaves and maybe even use the sketch, so thank you! I too struggle with clusters and I am also a minimalist so these pages are right up my alley!! ❤️

How fun to have been able to visit the home office and go through the warehouse. You scored big time! You know you are a hard core scrapbooker when you are packing your haul through the airport lol😂 I didn’t expect to feel emotional watching you unbox all of those amazing supplies, but I did. It made me feel nostalgic, sad, and happy I have several of those items all at the same time. It’s weird to feel a sentimental attachment to scrapbooking supplies but if you know then you know.
