Hahaha thank you sm! That’s so kind! Really appreciate it!
It’s the CZcamsr effect once again
Yeah exactly, each generation is impacted by the gravitational pull diffused by available markets - but yeah I remember seeing articles about that phrase
Is it an artificial voice?
No, but i used the adobe podcast audio correction tool so maybe that makes it sound a bit robotic? Or i just sound like ai …
I'm surprised this doesn't have millions of views. Good job!
Thank you! That’s very kind !
great production quality eager to see where this channel is headed
Thank you!!
the job i have is very basic yet i needed my diploma. the workplace is aged and rested on toxic tactics and ideology. our staff is essentially treated like servants by management and management is mistreated by corporate and corporate are (brown-nosing a$$lickers to the american dollar) slaves to consumers. a bigger change needs to happen bc nobody wants to get minimum wage in exchange for the only thing that matters; time. kids see their parents and loved ones work jobs for long hours and small pay and don't want to waste their lives and they're right
You really articled that quite well. Something has to change and it’ll probably be sooner than we expect is my prediction (agi & etc. perhaps?)
Techno-Optimism is delusional
When I was a kid it was called “magical thinking”.
Total bullshit, there is price thats is paid. It is the enviornmental cost, biodiversity cost ,bio resiliency cost by all those who were powerless in this system , that includes powerless humans. Praseant, colnised coutries ,tribes and worst of all billion times more suffering than humans fave is animal,
Marxism wants the workers to have a say in what is produced, for what and when. This is literally giving the control over our lives back to everyone. So he wants to stop exploitation by throwing over the parasitical system. Tate wants you to become the parasite yourself, by exploiting others and engaging in the cancerous rat race that is the problem to begin with. So no, Tate is not a marxist and he is not the answer to the problem
Sorry but this is laughable. What is "abundant" about killing the oceans, deforestation, soil desertification, no food except fake food through finite fossil fuels, increasing energy costs alongside increasing population, biodiversity loss, etc etc? So that we can have cell phones and AI? What are you people on? The madness of this civilization is simple physics, look up Jean Marc Jancovici "can we save energy, jobs and growth at the same time?"
Its pronounced Banger, like the 1500+ year old city in Gwenydd Cymru 🏴 that its named after.
you showed a picture of elizabeth holmes who was an actual scam artist lol.
This is funny...i lived there for 12 years...stupid fruit flies, send it! Lol 😂
Why are you not famous dude?
I appreciate the sentiment bro
🙏
Lol why r they scared of fruit flies
u gotta ask them bro
3:52 That one reminded me of Oppenheimer. They literally thought it would ignite the air and end it all. Btw. well made video
E/acc is not an ideology. It is not a movement. Its not a religion. It is simply an acknowledgement of truth. Effective Accelerationism is a belief, rooted in the second law of thermodynamics, that the universe itself is an optimization process creating life which constantly expands. The engine of this expansion is technocapital. This engine cannot be stopped. The ratchet of progress only ever turns in one direction. Going backwards is not an option.
Dat you John Galt? Just remember constant unregulated growth is the modus operandi of the cancer cell...
To be fair capitalists fund the entertainment industry so of course they are going to portray their beliefs into their films and art
Very cringe take indeed, as a fellow brain user said in the comments it is an authoritarian dystopia. If you let others take control of you entire life, guess what? Your life will be sh*t! It does not matter if it's the government or corporations doing it, you are being controlled. On the opposite side of the spectrum, a complete liberal dystopia is also bad. How so? If anyone can do anything violent crime will rise off the charts, cause you know, everythings free if you steal it. And at that point, we're back at square one, people realise that they need to be protected, they establish some sort of government to keep peace. There needs to be a balance of control and freedom. It's like yin and yang or whatever.
mf cited the blade runner movies as a trustworthy source lmfao
A free marken is also a dystopia. Cyberpunk is a good example
Blade Runner is ultra capitalism, not communism. Otherwise fair point on tech
Also authoritarian, though.
i hevnot watched bpade runner (i know i suck). but how is it ultra capitalistic if goverment controls everything?
Government controlling everything does not negate capitalism...nor does it necessarily equate socialism...there is more to either that must be established to be true definitions of either economic ideology...it is especially not socialism when that government is a corporatocracy. In Blade Runner, that is exactly the case...the corporations have tremendous power over the people. It's a common capitalism dystopia trope in Sci-fi.
@pikaskew I must say, though, that in order for government to become ultra-powerful, it must have a lot of money. This requires massive taxation because the government is incapable of creating wealth and must, therefore, steal it through taxes. This, by itself, means that in order to have an ultra-powerful government, the society must hold strong socialistic tendencies.
@@pikaskew in blade runner did corporations replace goverment are those two different entities?
I have apologized to Google for my search history and promised to never put it through that again... in the search bar.
Awful lot of Rose Tint on yer glasses. Rollerball is a good example of your goal. Corporations are people, right?
Corporations are the ones who lobby to the government to create regulations that benefit I the corporation. Use your brain for a little longer than you get your jimmies rustled.
Capital gains control over the state by funding media and funding politicians. Then the police state work for capital. The solution isn't limited government but a government that works for the people and against the rich who corrupt it. Higher taxes for the rich and more services for the poor. Instead we get the lowest corporate taxes in our history and ever more prisons.
If you want to see a system fail. Hand over the operation of that system to the government. Failure is guaranteed.
Eh, I havent heard nearly as many people being Techno-optimist than the ones claiming AI has huge potential to destroy humanity. I think techno-optimism is naive outlook and unfortunately it wont be like that ...
I really appreciate the optimism and faith in technology's advancement, it's way too easy to get bogged down by negativity, we forget humans have an uncanny ability to persevere. But then "consumerism is actually what emerges from socialism" is just ridiculously nonsensical. You seem smart, if you actually give reading socialist theory a fair shot your perspective may change.
If only techno-optimisim addressed the fact that some humans are innateley better and worse than other humans.
What
This is a great argument for having an abundance mindset because the truth is we can create things that utilize the immense wealth of the universe. It’s our moral responsibility to create more abundance on this planet because there is no lack, the truth of the universe is abundance. Great video and you gave me some points so I can give a better argument for having an abundance mindset
that's a very optimistic way to see. I belive, even if technology goes to a point, where only machines do all the job. we'll have a few rich people enjoying it, and most of the population starving. Because we are not the owners of that technology.
Yeah, it’s just tech bro magical thinking plastered over libertarianism. That sort of thing doesn’t work for long
I'd say it's glaringly clear that the government is capable of far more evil at this point than A.I. It is this failure, weakness of mankind which creates the underlying anxiety and fear of A.I., because we all know how corrupt we operate on a fundamental level, likely cause we evolved as carnivores and are still infantile as a species. So I for one applaud the possibility of the future and AI implementation, and bow down to our new overlord.
Wow that is beautiful. Now that USG wants to confiscate all AI developments we can see clearly the villain.
This is a great argument for e/acc. "AI safety" is originating from the same people who were "covid karens" trying to dictate other people's health and lifestyle choices. I like e/acc, but I have noticed a religious fervor from some people in the AI space. The problem with religious fervor about AI, is that some people use it as an intellectual palace (similar to religions) to escape from the problems we are faced with _right now_ in life. For example, I watch a lot of David Shapiro (the ai dude), and in the comment sections, especially on videos regarding the "future of work", you can see people waiting for this utopian idea of the world where they will have no problems, no job, and infinite time (immortality maybe?). They see AI as this monolithic thing that will save them from their lives, and this flavor of future-based romanticism looks like a form of escapism. Escapism originates from nihilism or a rejection of life, and it's not a strong foundation to build a philosophy out of. Similar to how Christianity relies on myths of an afterlife, the tech world is developing these myths of immortality, mass abundance, and a "heaven-like" state of affairs for humans. While we can be optimistic about these things, it's important to live your life as if they won't happen, as if tech is NOT going to save you, because it PROBABLY WON'T. Just like God is not actually saving anyone and taking them to heaven. This mythical story we're starting to tell ourselves about the future of tech smells just like tech-nerd Christianity. Could all of these things you predict happen one day? They might, but if we act like it, and yearn to live in that world rather than the world we are currently in, that's just a way to avoid the reality of existence as it currently is. I say we fuck around and find out, and that we act like the lives we have TODAY could end TOMORROW. AI will not save us. We have to save OURSELVES.
BULLSHIT
Badelamenti. Nice use!
Look at people who aren't educated... it will make you want to go school
I used to think this. I cherish my Uni educated friends, as we seem to be able to converse on a variety of topics, at a variety of levels. THEN, I moved to Australia, where the attitude is different, and there are still "self educated" and "self made" in the workplace. I began to perceive Uni's much the way I look at martial arts: The belt-mill, the diploma mill. The people I've met here in Oz are no less qualified, skilled, or competent at their jobs, regardless of what pieces of paper they have. I actually banned my Aussie husband from moving to the States to be with me, because he had no diploma paper; his income would have been halved, or even 1/3 of what he makes here in Oz. And the conversations are still excellent, regardless of the educational papers a person has. What's going on in tertiary education in the US is truly a form of slavery: you need the papers to get the job, so you incur the debt to get the education, you then are required to work for "the man" to pay your debt. (reminds me of "Company Stores" in Victorian times) I do cherish my Uni education, but I have a feeling it's not as good as it was when I went to school - and costs 3x as much.
Critical thinking, responsibility and a job
Schools are CONFORMITY FACTORIES---NO MORE AND NO LESS.
Education should teach students HOW to think, not WHAT to think.
The public and high schools are for indoctrination, not education. This is not a theory, it's a provable fact. Higher education is 10% education, 90% indoctrination. Only 10% of people have what it takes and are needed by society to be educated in STEM. The other 90% have no business getting a higher education because that will make them more useless then if they didn't have it to begin with. Either way it is a sure way to make a surf out of any person at a young age through student debt. Also a person, even doctors, are highly controllable because of student debt and threat of cancelation if they don't tow the line. It would be "a shame" to lose your position as a doctor, devoting 7+ years of hard work to get there and finding out that the drug companies own your a$$.
As a teacher i can only say that most kids don't want to learn anything. All corrupted by phones and consoles.
It's for interaction with other people it's for learning your ABCs and not being dumb it's for learning how to behave understanding that there's rules and we have to follow the rules are there consequences.... such a dumb question how do you even get on a channel school has a locked offer otherwise we have little hoodlums at 8:00 and 9:00 running street smoking cigarettes drinking beer what is wrong with some of you people
Well said young man. Stay strong the paradigm shift is just beginning.
School was a very tool just like government but people got complacent and plan lazy and aloud others to change its meaning and uses. Education and government are useful and needed but in this current false state. This video is manipulation
Interesting that you chose this particular topic and then decided that it would best serve your point to sound as much like a robot as you could!
What’s the connection?
i dropped out of college started a company earned a couple millions and sold it. then went to uni for a couple of years while doing a lot of sports and spending time with my family and dog. the beaten path is not always the correct one, kids.
