I can’t find anything about my #1 problem, my nostrils are very narrow. I hardly have any width, my septum is also very wide at the bottom. I have trouble breathing while awake & asleep, especially when exercising. I have an appointment with ent & sleep specialist but in the meantime I’m trying to learn & nowhere is covering what I’m dealing with :(

For the past several months since I had balloon sinuplasty and septoplasty with bilateral inferior turbinate resection, I’ve been left with debilitating symptoms. Haven’t been able to find help for it and when I search for what I am experiencing, it always comes up with ENS. This is the second sinus surgery I’ve had. Very recently I have begun to suspect it may be nasal valve collapse. When I breathe through my nose, I sort of feel what you are describing. When I try to breathe deeply, it feels like multiple lanes of traffic coming in full speed and then getting merged in to a single lane. If I insert q-tips with the large tips (safety swabs) in to my nostrils about an inch or so up and against my septum, I get almost complete relief. I also experience a lot of dryness, which I’m not sure is correlated to valve collapse. I am desperate to get this worked out and hopefully resolved. Does it seem possible that it could be valve collapse and there’s hope for repair? I would love to hear your thoughts.
