Had people not tried to control the flow of information, and twist things, lie to the people and do other human rights violations many of the things that took place could have been avoided. But there is a reason for why all that was done because it seems for these people to be about CONTROL. MONEY, CONTROL, POWER. They can't get enough in the WEF and other weak organizations where the people feel they have a right to control any human being on this planet. Cowards use force, they hide, they censor, they subjugate. And that is all these people are, I truly believe they hate humanity. The good thing is, humanity is not as dumb as they believe them to be. We see the global tyranny you all wish to have and we will fight back. We will reject you all, we already are. Most people want to have freedom, a way to provide a good life for their families, and to just enjoy this short life we have on this earth. We don't need psychotic Elites who have delusions of grandeur, who believe they are some God figure that needs to control the masses. That is sick thinking, mentally deranged thinking. But I expect nothing less from these soulless people who are so empty in their own life they have to violate the inner most personal thoughts and feelings of another via tech. It is so disgusting to even imagine that type of rape of your rights and just your person. They don't even bat an eye when they discuss this stuff either like it's perfectly normal to want to do to others. smh gross.

Democracy... yeah, i feel like this is not about that and instead about how we control and dictate people the same way Mao, Stalin, Hitler, Xi Jingping and Putin did and still do. You rich elites are just one step away from becoming authoritarian Dictators and destroying Democracy by letting it get to your heads and taking advantage of these systems you claim will "protect" us. We are not dumb, it's not conspiracies, it's pattern recognition and there are enough emerging patterns which are extremely alarming.

Even if China and the US fight a major war with each other, both will still exist and both still have to live on the planet Earth. Coexistence is not a choice, it is a fact. You may as well avoid that war.

Bannon for better and worse will be remembered as the great political genius of our times for taking the language of the 20th century left, putting it on its head, and making it work for a the reactionary populist right. Despite the idealism of guys like Chomsky all that, "America sucks" rhetoric eventually backfires when Joe Sixpack is able to hijack the vocabulary of emancipatory politics to justify his lack of performativity in the social economy. The issue is that after you've raised an army of, "dissatisfieds" they're eventually going to get hip to the fact that they're not any less manipulated by the new regime but strangely their petitions to restore their former rights are ignored by their new handlers. You hurt these people more by not having kids than by trying to defeat them in the discourse. Liberal idealists not participating in the social economy will be enough to castrate the American death rattle project. No new Marines for you. No doctors, lawyers, engineers. Enjoy your sick children. Enjoy not having someone to speak for you in court. Enjoy your crumbling roads and bridges. You earned it American public. You really earned it, baby.

Enjoy 86% literacy like Cambodia. Enjoy being thought of as stupid and backward by the emergent world. Enjoy being thought of as, "not-white" by Brahmin Indians and Saudis. It is no longer the American century. It is entirely possible the United States will emerge as a spiritual successor to the Third Reich in the 21st though. Prestige doesn't die quietly.

Quite a few comments with regard to the question from the Hong Kong student. One thing I always am fascinated with is how little that these students talk about the level of democracy under the British rule. The British had ruled Hong Kong for 156 years. During which time, the UK government had already been operating as a democracy for 10 years since 1832 when she took over Hong Kong. Within the 156 years of ruling under UK, the Hong Kong government concentrated the power under the governor who in turns appointed all of the executives in both the legislature and the executive councils. The governor was always appointed by the UK government. UK never granted Hong Kong people the choice to directly elect their leaders. It was actually under the Chinese ruling that the people started to have a choice of indirectly elect their leaders. I need a Hong Kong person to explain to me why the differences in social protest under different bosses.

Cohen needs to be educated in order to not stay brainwashed by the U.S. government propaganda. Just like the award-winning Australian born journalist, John Pilger (Australian journalist & document filmmaker based in UK & a former visiting professor at Cornell University) said about Ukraine Invasion: "This is war propaganda. I will think almost nothing that one reads in the Western press about the invasion through Ukraine is to be trusted", Professor Sachs also voiced something similar in the interview, about Western mainstream media, which is "all about the U.S. government propaganda". Why no institutions are able to punish the aggressor? I am sure had Trump win 2020 election there was no aggression against my country. I hope american people at least re-elect them to stop hypocrisy and punish totalitarian aggressive regimes all around the world as Mr. Reagan and Mrs Thatcher made once 40 years ago. I support nationalism as natural way of life of the human beings.

Ban Ki-moon definitly knows very little about Confucianism after I finished watching this video. Professor Sachs is much better in knowing Confucianism. Ban Ki-moon is just a politician cultivated by western propaganda without any academic trainings on Confucianism philosophy. It is basically a comedy video when you asked Ban Ki-moom to play role of Confucius in such an important forum. Very rediciulous and even a humiliation to the widsom of Confucius.
