This may help just a few of you but I was literally using the dongle for my deathadder with my viper v2 pro. Make sure the dongle you are using matches the mouse model. It was working this way for a long time then randomly stopped working. All I had to do was swap the dongles. I went ahead and updated firmware after.

all fun and games till the fking mouse pairing utility detects everything, but I press "pair" and this shi says pairing failed.... wtf do I do?? buy another dongle and try again??

Hi everyone! I'm having an issue with my Deathadder V2 Pro and i'll explain it in case anyone can help. Basically, the USB Dongle keeps connecting and disconnecting itself every 3-5 seconds. Not a motherboard/port issue because other devices work fine on the same ports and also tried the dongle in 3 more usb ports. Already used the tool provided in this video (the newest version from razer website). It said everything was linked and updated but i'm not that sure if it worked because the usb as i said disconnects all the time so how can i be sure... Also updated mouse controllers/synapse and all that stuff. During the few seconds the dongle lasts connected, the mouse is able to receive the signal and work. Any suggestion is highly appreciated! Thanks! PS: I'll be trying another dongle and another pc next.

for people having an issue with the dongle not working. check if this shows up when you remove & reinstall the dongle if you don't hear the new device ping then you might want to try a reflow on the dongle itself, use some flux and hit it with the hot air gun for a few secs. did the trick for mine

i actually have this problem with my headset and i recently used this link and it worked for another 5mins, until the conetion was lost again and it`s not gonna work with every usb port...i tried to update my headset too but it wont connect...i will never buy razer again

i do plug the dongle ifyou mean the little usb connected to adevidec that uses the cable to connect with use to pc but it still doesnt progress todo the update, it can only update the mouse but not the dongle...

I downloaded it and it doesnt allow me to pair with my death adder V2 pro but instead it allows me to pair with Razer bassilisk (i never had od paired that mouse) what can i do?

Just had this issue myself. And you're right. Its not covered when installing and pairing the device, cause the dongle driver comes in an outdated driver ver. 1.01, and it's up to 2.03 now. Razor should get the tech support team to update this feature.

I tried to press next after i paired the mouse but it was grayed out even though i put the dongle in the usb port

I recently updated my hyperpolling dongle to the latest firmware and then it stopped working. Synapse still detects it, but it won't repair with my Viper V2 Pro. I should have just left it alone. Ugh.

You can do the following as well: 1. Download the latest Synapse 2. Download the latest firmware for both the mouse and the dongle 3. Open the pairing prompt 4. DO NOT HAVE THE MOUSE LINKED TO THE 2.4 GHZ TRANSPONDER that comes with the mouse 5. Run the pairing prompt 6. Enjoy PC master race 4khz greatness (or marketing hype) N.B. If you don't have a laptop but a regular PC (cause PC master race), have some other mouse attached (so you can navigate the menus in Synapse; it is a pain to navigate and do stuff WITHOUT a mouse there).
