Interesting fun fact Earl's father is a South African poet laureate, and he started many different arts organizations. His father is a deep individual. Crazy thing is his pops was born in 1938, so he was literally older than my mom's father. Imagine the conversations you could have with a man that's 3 quarters of a century old. In a nutshell, Earl was born to be an artistic linguist. I say all this, because the compliment you gave me just now is a deep one....being compared to individuals that have cult followings, and come from historical bloodlines is a deep compliment. Meant to expand more on my response...my phone died that day. I've always been compelled to write in a complex manner. For years, I held back, and slightly watered myself down, because a close friend told me that I was too wordy. He told me to take words out to have a more consistent by the book bpm flow. For the first few years of recording seriously, I took that advice. I also used to rhyme more aggressively... While more people were drawn to my work during that phase, it wasn't me. I always wanted to calmly relay the message as I was organically drawn to give it. Not all the time, but a lot of the time each line has a lot in it....I write in hopes that it will spark conversations... I am always open for whenever someone asks, "hey what did you say right here?" Poetry to me is like fine art in a gallery...cookie cutter is easy, because anyone can do it...but real genuine art stands the test of time, and not everyone can do it. I see you are a producer, so you know what I mean. You can put 5 producers in a room with the same vinyl record, each of them will create something totally unique...even if it came to them sampling the same song...because every true artist has a fingerprint...that only keen ears can catch. Again, thanks very much for not only listening, but taking time to dissect the mechanics.

Was going through old IG videos and was like yoooooo....this gotta be uploaded...because my phone broke so I lost this video and the original pic months ago....almost forgot I made a vid for it...had to up it...cause to your point, upload so it will always be saved without depending on a flashdrive...those get lost too easily...Ive lost a ton

Are you asking the sample origin? It's from a group called BloodStone...check them out, their catalog is brilliant. Their melodies inspired the poetry....well actually, everything I write pertains to giving glory to The Most High, so it's His glorious nature that truly inspired the poem...but this sample was the perfect soundbed or canvas for the mural.
