Spector didn't start out as a killer but his condition worsened year by year. He was a psycho for many years and it got worse too. He got older and weirder and the woman refused his advances and he killed her because he thought he was too famous to be convicted. Its not much different than O. J. Simpson.--he went off the deep end and killed two people--and by damn he got away with it!

I love many things credited to Carol Kaye. Hal Blaine played on many of my favorite songs and for me, the top of the list for bassists is James Jamerson. I think he influenced bass playing to this day. McCartney, another one of my favorites, had to have been heavily influenced by Jamerson. I hate to see the infighting but it just reminds that these folks are just human-humans with amazing gifts who worked very hard to perfect their craft making the World a nicer place in the process.

The great Doug Sahm's best LP, "Groovers Paradise", proves Creedence wasn't all John Fogerty. As discussed starting at 31:39 Doug Clifford produced the record and played his inimitable drums behind Sahm. The documentary Lynyrd Skynrd Uncivil Law. They spoke to farmer Jonny Mote, who Artimus claimed shot him in the shoulder. But Jonny said he didn't he just shot in the air. Why would Mote lie ?

Huey Lewis & The News never released a bad album. They just never did. And Mario played such an important part of that. He was virtually the band’s mascot with his signature persona and tight bass grooves. He’s been a huge influence on my playing.

It’s funny, I remember hearing the song “Barbara Ann” when I was little, and for years, until I was in the 6th grade, I thought the song was “bobber ran”. Then one day I was over at my aunt’s house, and she had a Beach Boys CD. I’d gotten it out because I wanted to see if it had a song on there that I thought was them, but come to find out it wasn’t. My mom read me the song titles, and the last track was “Barbara Ann”. I said, “What’s Barbara Ann”? My aunt started singing it. I said, “I thought it was Bobber Ran”. Does anyone know why it is pronounced that way in the song?

Louie Shelton’s interviews are better than this and they basically took him out of the movie. Louie said they told him back then they hated rock and roll. It sounds to me that Hal Blane wanted the limelight listening to this video and couldn’t stand others that had a story that might detract.

John left two lovely classy women (Cynthia and May) for that controlling evil gremlin, what the hell was wrong with him? She wasn’t even good in in bed, as per her own account, she just laid there.

Feels like a Faustian story. Like something from The Twilight Zone. Would you choose to become a Beatle for a few days if it meant giving up your future happiness? There are a lot of tragic stories associated with the Beatles: Pete Best, Stuart Sutcliffe, Brian Epstein, Mal Evans, John Lennon...It can start to feel spooky if you think about it too much.

For real. Without Ronnie there's no Lynyrd Skynyrd.

CZcams should make audio levels analyze/control when checking videos after upload and adjust all sound levels to standard audio level. I cant hear May when I lower volume when host talks loud and he sounds too close to microphone... But thanks anyway for this upload its interesting interview. No wonder they made documentary last year.
