Sorry, I had to write this as I’m getting to the part in the documentary about Ignorance Is Bliss . As a musician and someone who grew up on punk rock and watched it evolve and basically die , I fuckin loved ignorance is bliss . I wanted more of this style with all my music. I was so sick of the fat wreck sound and all the crap that it bred. It was way ahead of its time for all the punk rock bands that had to eventually transition to a post punk / emo sound to stay relevant . So fuck those stupid fans cuz they don’t know shit . If face to Face changed their name and ignorance was their first record , they would have been huge because we all know those same Little weasels were whacking off snd crying in a corner with their little get up kids and dashboard confessional shit came out . And then blink 182 blew up and they did the same exact thing with no hiccups . Gimme a break .

I was watching a random vlog of a guy called Mark Hartenau, and he mentioned that he used to be in a band called Camerica back in the day. So, I asked him if he can upload some of the songs they had on YT - and he did. After listening to the album, I asked him which bands were their inspiration and he said Face to Face. Prior to this conversation, I didn’t even know this band existed. That’s how I ended up here.

I was 12 first time I saw face to face at hob in Orlando. I think snapcase opened for them, then a year later and it was new found glory and saves the day, then a couple years later thrice opened up. Multiple years at warped tour in Orlando!! Can’t wait to see them again at the central Florida fair grounds for bright side music festival!!
