It's challenging for many people to see how their day to day tasks at their job are making a difference in the worlds, let alone the company they work with. It's refreshing to see a company in as massive of an industry as biotech making an effort to communicate the value each of their employees brings.

We live in a such a "go fast" society and I love how you kept the pauses when the interviewee's were thinking of their answers, it adds so much character and impact to what they say. Their stories are why what y'all do is so important, unlocking the genome so that we can start really doing personalized medicine will not only help treat current diseases, but could prevent them all together by rewriting the gene sequence.

At 1:52 , since the original starnd is washed away, how is it possible for its complementary strand is folding over to hybridize to the second type of oligo? that strand wont be complementary to the second type of oligo but will have exactly the same sequence with that oligo! I am confused. In some other sources, they mention that once you add the fragment both ends hybridize with thte two oligos and then we have the PCR extension which makes more sense. Anyone can help?

I'm two years checking this tutorial, and sesame as a whole seem to have changed plenty since. Some things I have noticed: sesameQC does not exist, sesameQC_calcStats seems to work in its place. All other functions seem to have had their names changed as well, but are easy enough to find. Every plot called after the noob() function returns an error "figure margins too large". Lastly, the comparison between the betas in the verbose and OpenSesame returns FALSE.
