I started with 16gb with my first AM5 build and it was running like garbage in starfield. I went up to 32gb and everything is running smooth as butter on high settings with my 5700xt OC
Check to make sure it's ddr4? Have we forgot about ddr5? 32gb is minimum if building or buying a new computer. Ram has gotten much cheaper. Even ddr5 has dropped in price. Games like DCS will hit more than 32gb running 4k. I'd recommend 64gb for flight sims. When running work software & a game, I'll hit 30-45gb most of the time.
