you can actually still use task manager like this. just use alt tab to switch to it, then hold alt tab to try and find it, press any program, use arrow keys to find the program u need and press delete

Once you have taskmgr, you just find the virus and nuke it. Or just run an antivirus but thats slower and unfun

I had hp dv5 1215ee with c2d 2gb ram. Its a nice laptop and its dead. When i plug the charger the system turns on automatically and no post or any warning signs.. just turns on with all led light. WTF situation. So confirms that its a motherboard damage

Reboot in safe mode and run malware removal tools from a usb. If that doesn't work use Medicat to boot to a linux environment with recovery tools and fix it that way.

Called Scareware/Ransomware.. Safemode and disable it or if you have a donar drive, then use that with a virtual machine with no internet to do a virus/malware scan and get rid of it. If the files have been altered then you can copy the reg files over from a working OS.

I like people who can repair the Windows install instead of starting fresh. Sometimes reinstalling Windows is unnecessary, and it's pretty annoying having to set up your software again.

Just switch to linux. Problem solved.
