Beautiful movie but deeply frustrating. Who didn't want her to sleep with that beautiful guy...or at least kiss him for God's sake! Even if he was on the "wrong side." War is horrible in a million ways. Sadly humans have learned nothing in the 80 years since the time depicted in the movie.

I just saw this movie on my tablet, a movie that has no words to describe it's beauty, I am a Indian, I have done a 3 years couse in French language, which I love immensely, I have come to admire French culture no doubt, I congrats them to have refrained from showing unnecessary nudity. Compared to Indian song and dance movies, they have made a movie with a refreshingly turn.

il paraît que tous les officiers - dans tous les films allemands - sont mélomanes et très gentils. Je me demande : si les demoiselles n'avaient pas si bien joué du piano, si elles avaient été si jolies et si elles avaient eu une charmante maison bourgeoise, auraient-elles été aussi gentilles ? Qui sait où vivaient les mauvais Allemands ?
