Master Bedroom Refurb With Cover Styl' Architectural Finishes
Wow perfect job thank you!
What kind of primer do you use between layers? You didn’t mention that.
What plotter is this?
Heat resistant? 🤔 Fire proof? With 'heat gun'? 😮
How is he grabbing the liner from the outside??
Can we also acknowledge that her hair is awesome?
Can you use a hair dryer for this job?
I've tried it - the hair dryer worked, too.
wow, great job! what kind of laminate does this? I looked at the 3M Di-noc, but limited colors. There must be others? To do with the heat gun! (from U.S...)
Where is this heat gun from??
This technique works perfectly, even for non-3m film. I'll admit, I did skip a few wetting steps but the end product didn't seem to suffer. Thanks for upload!
can this be done on glass?
But I don't seem to be able to find where to buy this film. Sadly I think 3M stopped production, I have no idea why they would do so.
Wow! What a useless video! Congratulations!
This is the best window technique I've seen in a while, from the way you cut the film, to applying to the window. Just accurate, must be very pro.
Well that seems straightforward 😢😢
I missed about 1/3 of what you said, because of the noise (and not just the heat gun).
Anyone else having issues with the ij280 not staying down on the edges? Almost like it's not sticky enough.
Those wondering if it helps. I dunno. It's meant to be a reflective insulator, like the foil you can put in attics. If it's IR reflective, it could turn some radiant heat away from the window in both directions. The normal rule of needing an air space to reflect radiant heat can be suspended if the object in the way is glass, and lets radiant IR through. Normally a reflective insulator needs an air space to reflect IR into, but with glass it _could_ work. If it's UV reflective, it could keep out some solar energy in summer, you probably don't have any interior UV to reflect back in in winter. I don't know if 3M's film does this though, or how well if it does. I'm just pointing out that a lot of traditional wisdom regarding IR reflective insulators (and not putting them directly against a surface) gets 'weird & not entirely true' if the barrier it's up against is transparent to IR. Just saying that the concept _could_ work.
Blimey I think I'll just put on another layer of clothing.
What a weird opening scene
the material finish gloss levels are unparalleled to the competitors material however there are some minor negatives. I've wrapped 4 vehicles (2full wraps. Gloss black and matte black) since the launch here in Australia as we are moving into winter here Arlon premium is not a fan of the cold in the evening only in regards to repositioning, you cannot be as agressive lifting away from glass before trimming to feed around say a back window It was quite a surprise but it exploded in like a lightning bolt, an obvious redo and rectification was warming up the shop a few degrees but I was certainly not expecting it to be so brittle in the cold unlike slx+ where you can wrap in sub zero temperatures without any dramas with the flite technology. Everything else about the material is great, It lays beautifully, very comformable, release liner glides off with minimal effort, capping sheet is a bonus. Low static after removal of the cap sheet on a table. glue lines are less prominent however with some testing in my shop I purposefully stopped install mid panel on a van side panel with deep recesses for several hrs, returned to finish and indeed you can retain glue lines if you squeegee down hard on the first pass. We just need more colours available here in Aus, Arlon premium is now my new preferred media
what were you putting on when you were done ?
Super gemacht !
Wow! She is a master! Like magic!
Terrible technique... you need a few more years of experience in order to make a video tutorial on how to install film.
I cant grab the plf any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
You are professional, thanks alot for your explanations
thanks
Fantastic job! I had no idea about the heat gun trick, that gives a great professional finish to the sides. Before this video I have seen a guy doing it with a square table, and fixing well the corners: It looked so great! These are the YT videos that really help and change the way you work inside the house. Thank you so much!
Woooow, tnx
I just want to know if i will cut the excess film after the rubber on window? I cut it and I have space without film like the edges
Thanks Gill. We were amazed just how well the latest 3M vinyl stretches and adheres into deep recesses during the recent update training course. Best regards Dudley
Hi Dudley Yes, the first time I was introduced to it I loved the fact that it hardly needs any heat to do those recessed areas either…..a feature we appreciate even more now with the ever rising energy costs !!!!!
In only 100 easy steps and 3 rather difficult steps!
What does prime between the layers mean ? Did not hear the word prime before ???
Can’t hear you over hair dryer !
State “ start in the middle “.
Can’t hear you clearly when you are unwrapping the plastic !
Is it good maintaining heat inside?
No idea but you need to wet the window :o) many times
More than that...@@ggj666
Jesus H man, how many times do have to set the window? MFer used 60 gallons of water on 1 window
This looks way more complicated than the regular 3M kit
where can you buy this film?
Hi, great informative video, justa a quick question, is it better print in solvent or latex for that type of vinyl? Thanks in advance 👍
So after all that work... it helps about 0.0000000001% of temp.
رائع شكرا ساعدني هذا الفيديو كثيرا جاء في الوقت المناسب👍👍👏👏
Never, way to complicated
What a bloody performance - and what are the benefits installing that onto a double-glazed units anyways.?
Gives it nearly the properties of triple-glazed.

If there is a chance to have a chat?
The title of the video should be “Reasons why you should never install 3M Thinsulate....”
