I always come back to this video when I hit a bump in the road. I watched this video every morning before I'd sit one of my exams. Watch it before job interviews, now I watch it before I go out on one of my trips as an airline pilot. Thankful and grateful for chasing the dream and creating the life I have for myself. I always told myself "I can".

I’ve seen this video guys several times, the first time was about two or three years ago, and now, actually 3 hours ago, I finished my Type Rating skill test on my new Beauty, the E190, for the company I was hoping for, and now at 23 years old I can tell you guys that all the study and the double jobs to be able to get some money out were worth it, and this video help me a lot along the entire period, thanks a lot man!!!

This is when I started from scratch in my mid 30s now close to getting line released for an airlines , if you are watching this trust me you will make it .

Use to watch this video in flight school all the time. I now have my class date flying the A220- so excited 😊

My first month of my flight school is almost over. I’m a 28 year old married man with 3 kids. Former police sergeant before doing this. Yes it’s hard, yes it’s expensive, but I’d rather have financial debt over emotional debt. There’s no limit to how much money I’ll make when I finally get to the airline, but there’s definitely a limit on my time. Go get it!

Opinions wanted - Any issue with raw+jpeg? I shoot with both simply because when I get better down the road I want to use raw to my benefit however I have minimal knowledge about it at this point in my experience. It takes more room but I find it’s nice having jpeg when I took a photo that (imo) needs less post than a photo where raw is beneficial, but raw has saved a couple photos for sure because they were inadequate for post as a jpeg At this point my only complaint with using both is size, raw takes a hefty chunk of space in comparison to a jpeg

I almost lost my career in flying. I was working for a company where my job was at a dead end, my health was deteriorating, and the COVID pandemic which forced me to face some of harshest working conditions almost made me switch careers entirely. A bit of determination and a lot of luck got me back in the cockpit of an airliner and for a different company, where for the first time in many years, I would consider myself happy. Took a lot of work, failures, tears, motivation, and a great heap of luck. For those who are looking for motivation, whether you are a pilot, student, or just some regular person, just remember to not give up on yourself.

Starting pilot lessons a few months ago. Only been able to get about 8 hours so far because of weather and just acts of God haha. I’m loving flying more and more everyday. I’m On simulator all night and day. My Dream is to be in the airlines one day. Cant let fear take this from me.

Time capsule to look back on when I get in the cockpit: Hello, my name is Stephen, I am 13 years old, I would like to fly either the A321, 737-800NG or the 777-300ER for American Airlines. I am currently studying the systems for the 737 to go to the simulators with Ashton, I have already mastered the A320 systems. Was… was it worth it? Are the views from the cockpit as good as they are in the simulator?

Not expecting a reply. Going through a low in my training. Multi and IFR rating just around the corner and it’s not easy. I’m fighting. This will get done!

What about the high cost of becoming commercial pilot

I'm in my first semester of a 5 semester aviation program and I've been feeling pretty overwhelmed. Working full time, while having a family. Thank for reminding me what a great career I could have ahead of me and how blessed I am to even have the opportunity!

On my 11 hours as a student and been feeling very frustrated due to how hard its been for me with atc coms but man this made me feel like I own them

I worked as an electrical engineer. I’m now 26, only to realize my passion for flying, a dream I’ve had since I was a kid but never thought I could do. I’m going back to school and within 5 years from now, I will be soaring in the sky. This is my daily motivation.

I am not gonna lie... Here recently, I have been in a hard time. Looking at being a airplane mechanic for Delta over a pilot for Delta. I have watched this video.... and honestly... I am slowly thinking my decision. But, still leaning towards mechanic and still get my PPL and instrument rating. This is inspirational

Thank you so much for this video. I can't watch it without getting choked up, because I needed this. Right now. About 10 years ago I left a career in music, having to start over with nothing. Learning to fly had always been a dream. I couldn't get the financing to go to ATP's school, so I worked whatever job I could get and eventually could afford to learn to fly. Now I'm a CFII and just a few hundred hours away from what I genuinely never thought I could do - and without going into crippling debt. I never thought I could be HERE. "This year I will make goal become a reality. I CAN." I'm less than a year from reaching what for so long seemed completely unattainable for me. It's true. "You can only connect the dots looking backward. You have to trust... even if it leads you off the well-worn path." For me, it's been a lot of God too.

Have been listening since 2019
