ALSO MAKE A NOTE ABOUT ARIENS SNOW BLOWERS.. You stated the Honda still through it just as far!! This is because Ariens focuses on THROWING MORE SNOW NOT FURTHER!! If you look there's more snow coming out of the Ariens... More snow means it doesn't throw as far. This happens because Ariens usually has bigger openings in the impeller and through the shoot. THEY EVEN HAVE TWO BELTS UNDER THE COVER PUSHING THE AUGER BECAUSE OF THIS.. BECAUSE THEY WANT TO MOVE MORE SNOW NOT FOCUSED ON THROWING IT FAR.. 45 FT IS FAR ENOUGH FOR JUST ABOUT ANYTHING!! They also have bigger cups to throw more snow on the impellers. People always get this wrong..

Will you please specify the engine for the Ariens st CC because you can calculate horsepower from CC. You say it's a A ARIENS ST!! BUT YOU DON'T SAY WHETHER IT'S THE ST DELUXE OR THE ST PRO!! From the looks of it it looks like the ST deluxe zooming in the on the picture. If it's a deluxe it's 9 horsepower 254cc..

I own an Ariens Deluxe with the larger engine and I love it. I compared it, feature-for-feature with a comparable Honda model and chose the Ariens. The Honda was nearly $1,000 more. Yes, Honda DOES make quality equipment BUT you pay for the name.

Ho una HONDA HS970 acquistata nel 2003 è esattamente come quando l'ho acquistata ... Secondo me il pilota degli ariens non ha pulito fino in fondo, altrimenti il maggiore flusso di neve della Honda non è spiegato ... sarebbe stato bello vedere dietro di loro la differenza nella pulizia della scanalatura ...

The Honda is a well-engineered machine with track drive and a hydrostatic transmission. It's also about twice the price of ariens.

First gear is too fast in the Ariens disc drive. Can’t really adjust it down either. Hydro shines in deep snow like this.

Not a very good comparison...you have a track unit vs a wheeled unit. Depsite the fact that the Ariens eventually pulled ahead the start was terrible trying to keep the bucket down from riding the drifts. Throw the Ariens RapidTrack 28 Hydro in the race with the bucket locked.

I've got the Ariens 28" SHO and it handles everything it's been up against here in NH. And we get some deep snow. I've had other brands and at some point, the shutes would clog especially at the end of the driveway at the snow banking. This SHO has never once clogged up on me. Imo I they are an awesome machine

I just purchased a new Honda track drive, to replace an Areins, you can see the Areins is riding up on several inches of snow. Having used the Areins for 7 years I can attest to that. When I finished using the Areins, wearing light clothing, I would be soaking wet from sweat, doing the work the blower should have been doing.

If this is a race then the Ariens operator sucks. He operates it very slow at the 0:25 mark (long and slow motion ramming = less time throwing the snow). He only won because of his machine. The Honda guy is faster.

Hello from🇺🇸 Harrisburg Pennsylvania 🇺🇸 I have a 14 Yrs still working great wheel 28 Ins Ariens Snow Blower 924125-ST11528LE ,And thinking 🤔 on upgrading to a 32ins PROFESSIONAL 32 HYDRO RAPIDTRAK , The area that I’m using it is city sidewalks ONLY THAT are flat no hills so my question to anyone who has owned a track Snowblower compared to a wheel snowblower which one do you prefer on flat surfaces ? ☃️❄️☃️

I prefer Honda snowblowers. I admit they're expensive but only if you buy them new. The older used ones work better than the new models. Good comparison, bad opertaors.

My 1974 8/32 still kicks ass.

I own a 2003 Ariens 1128DLE pro (11.5hp) disc drive with battery start and impeller kit. No one commented on the Arien's which continually rode up (1") on the snow (just like mine does). That makes a huge difference in how you feel after fighting this "ride-up" after a few hours of use especially if you are much older than these guys. I added a weight kit (double plate) to keep the nose down. This Honda track model HS970 has a great advantage when going in a straight line but tougher to maneuver making turns. I'll bet I would be less fatigued at the end of a long day of clearing snow with the Honda track but at $1,000 more than my Ariens pro. One more thing. With my Clarence impeller kit installed, I can throw about 60 ft which is about as good as it gets.
